What's going on with him? Has he officially left the club yet and if so has he signed for anyone?

He's not listed on the Official site anymore but I don't recall seeing any news of him actually leaving. Last I heard he was out on loan.

I assumed as much but not seen any mention of him anywhere. You'd have thought some club somewhere would have at least been linked with him.

He'll find his level in the mid to bottom Prem teams.

Someone will snap him up - on a free he's a good deal.

What a rubbish shitbag signing.

I knew it from the first fucking minute.

Him, Bellamy and Speedy Gonads were our star signings for the summer....dear lord.

Possibly better than last summer but not much in it really.

Dossena, Keane and Riera...

Christ we should've progressed a lot quicker looking back, we're getting there though.

I was excited when Bellamy signed; £6.5M was a bargain given the fantastic season he'd just had. Blackburn shot themselves in the foot with that release clause - they could have got a top fee. Anyway, he hasn't emulated that season since and seems to cause trouble everywhere he goes.

Diouf - Diao - Cheyrou

Pennant - Bellamy - Gonzo

Dossena - Keane - Riera

Voronin - Babel - Torres.

Torres goes a long way to making up for all those fuck ups

I wasn't a big fan of either Riera or Bellamy before we signed them, but IMO Bellamy did OK for us (we made a profit on him when he went) and Riera still might.

Agree it isn't an inspiring list overall though.

Pennant turned down Madrid and Ac Milan in January so he could go on a free transfer, now they forgot about him

he'll end up back with fat head at sunderland

Fucking hell we've had a few poor summer transfer windows. Thankfully this isn't going to be one of them 🙂

Pennant was a useless sack of shit.

If ever a player epitomised being more in love with being a footballer than actually playing football it's him.

I hated that cunt from day one. "Oh, but give him a chance, he could be a great option, Birmingham's 'player of the season' BLEAT BLEAT BLEAT"

What a waste of £6.5 million. We could have nearly bought Dossena for that.

Think I'll need another whisky.

Matched 'Boroo'splayer of the season .. but then he was free at least

We should have sold him two years ago. At the time he said he wanted to stay and fight for his place and everyone applauded his attitude and appreciated his love for Liverpool Football club. Two years later, he leaves for nothing and proves it was a worthless signing.

I thought the reaction was more "no please don't fight, fuck off"? Or was that just last summer?

You can't sell a player who doesn't want to be sold. He's chosen to see out the contract that was given to him. Its a shame he didn't value actually playing football higher but he's well within his rights.

just goes to show what happens when u buy crap like pennant, voronin, bellamy and imo riera.

cheap mid career average stop gaps that actually cost us points and more often than not we end up looking for replacements almost immediately.

i don;t really mind when we bring in emerging players like n'gog, lucas, gonzales and leto but established average players we really should stay well clear of in the future.

So was Keane. We are very receptive to players stroking our ego by declaring their "love for the club", and perhaps, that clouds our judgment sometimes.
