What a career.

7 Medals in the form of:-

League Cup: 2000 (Leicester), 2001, 2003
FA Cup: 2001
UEFA Cup: 2001
Charity Shield: 2001
UEFA Super Cup: 2001


Despite making 39 appearences throughout his entire career, and when you discount one season as Leicester of 21 he made 18 appearences in 15 seasons..

Bet he was mildly handsomely paid aswell..

Rather have him on our bench now than Diego
 
He was certainly in the right place at the right time. Sadly the same couldn't be said when he actually played.

Fucking hell, with those stats I'd sit on the bench for 15 years doing fuck all AND getting paid to watch the Reds!

Got me thinking about ex-reserve keepers, and wiki'd Mike Hooper. How fucking low can you go if true:

He was last seen driving taxis in Sedgefield and working as a 'celebrity' doorman at Walkabout, Durham.

We've actually had a lot worse keepers than Hooper, but it seems like he wasn't really that bothered.

He stayed with us as reserve for years and I don't even think he particularly demanded a move even when he was relegated to third choice. Then at Newcastle he appeared content to be back up to Pavel fucking Srnicek and even when he became third choice there I still don't get the impression he kicked up much of a fuss!

And retiring at 32 to become a taxi driver/doorman after playing (sometimes) most of his career at top flight clubs hardly suggests that he had a deep love for the game

Pegguy is a bad name for a bloke. Redeemed by the fact that Arphexad is a kick-ass surname.

If his name was something like Constantinople Arphexad or Maximilian Arphexad or John Shaft Arphexad I'd want him in the first team irrespective of talent (or lack of).
