Yeah pappa smurf and 'diamond' nick barmby.
It's a veritable conveyor belt of top Tier talent.

From RAWK:

By the way, he got married yesterday. Contrary to the expectations (a big wedding in the spring), it was a very small private wedding at the Town Hall of his home town of Strumica. He was supposed to have his medical at Inter on Monday, but it is postponed. Several papers in Macedonia (one of them very respected and reliable) were claiming in their morning editions that there was a meeting between LFC's and Pandev's representatives over the weekend, and that we are offering better wages than Inter. I have contacted a friend of mine, who is a sports journalist, and his exact words were: ''Something is cooking, but if anyone tells you that he knows exactly what it is, he will be lying to you''. A pretty weird situation.

Though technically you might include Steve Mcmahon too? 😉

This is encouraging at least.

I still be surprised if AC don't show their hand at some point.

It is indeed, but if we are having to sell Dossena, Voronin and Babel just so that we could give Reina and Masherano a pay rise, how can we afford to offer Pandev better terms than Inter?

According to the same poster on RAWK, Inter have offered Pandev around 55k a week (five times what he's on now). Even if we just got rid of Voronin (and assuming he's on 40k a week, which I think is the most conservative estimate we can make), we wouldn't be taking on that much extra in terms of wages.

Of course, this might all be a ploy by his agent or whatever to squeeze a bit more out of Inter - the poster on RAWK doesn't think so - but it's oft used tactics, so you have to bear it in mind.

I'd like to think we are seriously in for him though.

I've not seen that much of Pandev in the past Seasons to be honest but I've got no problem with us going all in for him as it seems good people on here rates him.

That said I'd probably be even more pleased to see the back of Voro-neen I'm affraid. Especially if he's actually banking £40K a week.

*weeps in despair*

I don't know much about pandev other than he was good on football manager and by default must be better than voronin.
Heh, in the last one I had Pandev and Torres partnership that was absolutely unstoppable - if one didn't score, the other would.

In reality, I'd be hoping for a very good attacking utility player. Maybe that's not what everyone is after, but our squad is shit and needs improving. This would be a risk free venture I'm guessing... as long as we don't make the wages too exorbitant.

By miles. There's no clear weaknesses to his game; he's tall, pretty strong, has excellent feet and is a decent finisher.

He could lead the line in the Premiership no problem.

it was never likely to happen, we are really scrapping the bottom of the barrell in transfer targets this time around, if somebody listed the deals we are being linked with you would be forgiven for thinking we had been mixed uo with Bolton, 6 month loan deals for burnt out former stars who other clubs want off the wage bill and others who just want the chance to put themselves in the shop window

From Sky Sports:

12.00 Goran Pandev's agent has claimed the former Lazio striker has signed a contract with Serie A champions Inter Milan.

Oh well 🙁
"Pandev has just signed," he told Tuttomercatoweb. "Goran is clearly very happy. The contract will be sent to the league in the coming hours."

🙁
