As usual our best team contains people who haven't been given a chance to show how shit they are.

In this case Babel, Meireles and Cole.
 
Yep, just like last year with The Shithouse.

I must admit to being a bit worried by Magic, he's had an erratic start to the season, and like Ross mentioned, looks pretty heavy.

He's always been a dimwit who has had issues with concentrating, and at the moment his head isn't right

Still, he's not England's right-back for nothing and was our *only* threat down the right today
 
Johnson is miles better than kelly at the moment but kelly has potential to improve .

His only threat is cutting inside from the left and either blasting it or teeing someone up, so i think he'd struggle on the right far more.

I'd pick him over Maxi simply because we're often looking more dangerous with pace on the flanks away from home. I know it's slim argumentation and perhaps if Maxi actually touched the ball during 90 minutes of football my today my view on this would've been different.

Mentioning Babel is clutching at straws but without Cole and Kuyt I think we're looking slim of options.

Not trying to create an argument Brendan, just have a different opinion about what would make the team more affective, just as most seem to see Johnson being a better option than the OP's choice of Kelly.

carra is our best defender end of. It is like the scum ommiting rio or chelsea ommiting terry no manager would do that.
 
I'd be half inclined to play Zorba at the back just to ensure we have someone capable of heading the ball. Some of Skrtels heading today was just comical.

Never seemed slow to me, but he was out of position about 80% of the time. He has an annoying tendency to drift infield giving us zero width, and sometimes he even popped up in the right wing at stupidly inappropriate times.

There are 4 players who have currently not played a lot for us. One of them is injured presently. But they should get the nod ahead of players(shit players) who have played in their position though.

I would still have Johnson play RB, but let him know his position is under threat if he does not improve his concentration.
I would also play Agger ahead of Martin Skrtel.
