I'm not sure Capello will go with Glenjo. A right-side of him and Lennon could and will be exploited by decent teams. I'd pick Phil Neville, but then I'm dead controversial like that.

ie wrong and talking shit

In fairness to Ryan he is only typing out what Barney Ronay said in the Guardian's Football Weekly podcast from Monday.

Evertons got quality in their side - such as Villa and Spurs - but I'd never ever swap their current crop of midfielders with ours? Would any of you?

Here's how I see it:

Gerrard > Cahill
Masher > Felliani
Kuyt > Bilyatwhatshisname
Lucas = Osman
Arteta > Aquilani (this could change mind)
Pienaar = Riera/Maxi

Rodwell, well, he's still very young so hard to judge really, I'm not so sure I'd take him over Pacheco mind. I'd propbably take him over Babel though.

There is simply no way Evertons midfield is stronger than ours. Nor has it got more quality.
As a unit, their midfield is FAR better than ours, despite players not always being played in their "natural" positions. Our midfield doesn't function as a "unit", only "players", even if the individual skill levels are btter.

And Osman is considerably more capable than Lucas. And I do not intend that as a slight on Lucas. I rate Osman.

----

Phil Neville should make the England squad. He should not start.
Ha. In all seriousness, I fucking hate Phil Neville for England. Too many big time errors, too many shite performances. He's weak at international level, positionally suspect and rash.
I'd honestly rather have Gary before him.
That said I'd rather Brown before him.
That said it will be Johnson and rightly so.

Martin Kelly 😉
Id have fucking Lorraine Kelly before frankeneville.

Gareth Barry and Milner are flexible enough players.

Fuck Neville.

Adebayor's just been sent off against Stoke. Bellamy's been booked for arguing about the decision.

Palace now 1-1 against Villa.

Hadn't seen that, and I've never listened to a podcast in my life - true fact.

Gerrard doesn't play in midfield anymore.
Pienaar is better and significantly more consistent than either Riera or Maxi.
Osman/Lucas not worth talking about; Osman by miles.
Rodwell/Pacheco comment is crazy.
I'd take Fellaini over Mascher although its a debate point.
Arteta/Aqua not worth talking about, no comparison; Arteta by miles.
Kuyt, yeah ok.

Take the red glasses off, they're making you senile.

If Everton had Torres up front, they'd walk 4th.

Whilst we're talking other teams, anyone see Kenwyne clean through against Arsenal last weekend? Another bloke who looks like he has only ever been introduced to a football immediately prior to kick-off. He's absolutely useless.

Thank God for Steve Bruce/The Yanks or Benitez would have spent 12mil on him in January.

It reminded me of the chance Berbatov missed against us for Bayer Leverkusen in the CL in front of the Kop that time.

Never understand why posters feel the need to debate against our own players and provide an arguement to prove our bitter rival players are better than ours. Why bother?

Why not? I'm not one of those lemmings who automatically thinks that because a bloke plays for us it makes him better than some who don't. Or instantly world class.

We've barely had Torres up front this season, whilst Saha has had a decent season for them and has recently overtaken Torres in the scoring charts. How is it that we find ourselves above them in the table?

Don't mind discussing other teams but I just don't see the need or desire to provide an arguement for our rivals players being better than ours. That doesn't make me a lemming. I just have no desire to big up rival players at the expense of our own.

Everton are nowhere near as good as some are making out here.

If they had Torres, they would 'walk' 4th apparently.

its a little annoying that everton have been able to hold onto Arteta but 'WE' couldn't hold onto alonso.

many thanks to themn for the heads up

He might well have jumped at the chance of replacing Xabi had we made a play for him.

Then again, I wanted us to buy Feillani after he shined against us for Liege.

Madrid came knocking on Alonso's door and paid 30 million. Has Arteta ever been linked to a top team in La Liga. I remember a few Athletico Madrid rumours a while back but that's it.

Just saw part of Olympiakos and Bordeaux. Chamakh is made for arsenal, a whiny, melodramatic cunt.
