Lucas surely can't be playing? It would be impossible for a team with Lucas in the boiler room to be overrun like that.

Marseille, Arsenal, RB Salzburg and At. Madrid through

In case you missed it, Keita's assist today.

Marseille and Salzburg illustrated the advantage of 2nd leg at home. Both needed something "crazy" to overturn the deficits and both have delivered with support of their crowd. Even CSKA came close to doing the same, surprisingly.

A few observations on players involved in Salzburg-Lazio game:

Milinkovic-Savic – head and shoulders above everyone in terms of athleticism and technical ability, but mentally he still has a long way to go to become a top player. This has been maybe 5th or 6th game I've seen him play and it once again confirmed my reservations about his inconsistency: first half he bossed everyone, in the 2nd he was a total passenger, it's like he left his head in the dressing room at half-time. Inzaghi kept waiting for him to "wake up" and finally subbed him off in the 68th minute. Many journalists compare him to Pogba and I think it's quite apt – and also raises the question of why the fuck would Man United be interested in signing the "2nd Pogba" (younger and less mature version) if they can't figure out what to do with the "original" one.

Berisha – I can see why Klopp might like him: energetic, great movement, decent passer and a bit of an "extra" creative spark in some situations. RB Salzburg (as well as RB Leipzig) play pretty similar style to ours, with high pressing and everything, so he would presumably slot in easily. His corners are indeed as good as advertised, whipped in with great pace and close to goal, so any touch can be dangerous – the decisive goal came from one such corner to the near post, touched on to the back post by another player. Doesn't strike me as a top-class player overall though; same qualities with more athleticism and size would have been a lot more appealing. As it is, he is diligent on defense, but doesn't win enough 50/50 duels.

Haidara – first time I see him and can't really say much, he's a 20 year old Malian CM who is very highly-rated by scouts. Had a quiet game up until the point he scored a great goal into the bottom corner from outside the area.

Da Vrij – not at fault for any goals, I think. Lucas – got his customary yellow card, caught out of position a couple of times during Salzburg's decisive 4 minute come-back. Luis Alberto – great assist for Immobile's goal and a few inventive passes, but then completely fluffed his lines on a 3 on 1 break that should have buried the Austrians.
