Annoying about Spurs winning, but at least it means United fucked up. Chelsea is the real gift today, they're a weird team this season, it seems like they're always fucking up, yet they're on the same points as us. We absolutely have to win on Sunday.

Yeah we HAVE to win but I am kind of worried that we may really fuck it all up big time - it would be just like us. I would feel confident about winning had we not lost to WBA - its like that protective shield at home has been fucking violated. Fucks sake !!!!

To be honest if Spurs are stuck on 5th - it's actually quite risky for us to get 4th - we need to at least aim for 2nd/3rd. I reckon Arsenal will go onto win the Europa and Spurs could go onto win the CL if they remain focussed. I mean they did beat RM at home and drew away, so they seem to be aiming to get far in the CL - we all know anything can happen.

Was watching MOTD the Chelsea game...looks like Bournmouth are trying to set up their own fab 3 up front with Ibe being one of them.

Ibe has a higher ceiling than Sterling. Admittedly Sterling lives in a state of the art hobbit hole.

Refs missed Vertonghen trying to strangle that cunt Herrera ...

‘Jan Vertonghen tried to kill Ander Herrera’

Could Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen find himself in trouble with the FA?
Eagle-eyed TV watches spotted Vertonghen throttling Man United midfielder Ander Herrera.
To be clear, the Belgian centre-half was spotted wrapping his hands around Herrera’s neck.
The incident was missed by the officials during the game.
Will retrospective action be taken against the Spurs defender?

Vertongen got away with retrospective action over Xmas when he elbowed someone in the face (Jay Rodriguez I think). Would be nice for us if he was missing. He's the pick of their defenders.

Barnay Ronay's match reports are art rather than reportage. A real treat:

For Manchester United this was a bruising 2-0 defeat by better-balanced opponents and an occasion that seemed to float past in a series of occasionally bizarre snapshots. Marouane Fellaini gave a new twist to the idea of two-touch football, coming on after 62 minutes, having two touches, then leaving seven minutes later with a knee injury. If it is any consolation, he was still probably one of United’s better midfielders on the night.
Paul Pogba marauded weirdly for an hour, a free radical in what was supposed to be a rigid two-man central midfield. With 66 minutes gone he could be seen jogging off, pointedly uninjured, substituted for playing like Paul Pogba.
Then there was Phil Jones: A Study In Blue. This is a footballer whose professional life has been measured out in gurning stills, caught on camera with the look of a man who seems to have taken the ill-advised decision to sneak a quick look inside the Ark of the Covenant while simultaneously challenging for a high ball at a corner. There was another one of these at Wembley, Jones captured plunging his face into one of the padded struts behind the goal, looking as though he was trying to hide and to seek a consoling embrace in its plasticised innards.
