It looks like a significant defensive improvement until you remember that Rangnick has so far faced much easier opposition - the likes of Burnley and Norwich instead of Liverpool and Chelsea. I am not sure Ole would have done much worse against the bottom-feeders.
Also Varane has been the mainstay in Rangnick's defense and he's obviously a far better upgrade than the rest.
Whole damn club needs dynorodding, on and off the pitch.

Rangnick is not a great coach, but to be honest he would gradually move them in the right direction if given time and power to make big decisions - which is exactly why he probably won’t get the job. He will be a “consultant” after the end of the season, which means United will pay him for advice they don’t have to follow.

Good strike by Bellingham for Dortmund's goal but that's just a consolation. His team has been an utter drain.
I think Dortmund is seemingly now more interesting in being a finishing school for upcoming talent which it then sells for a tidy profit.

Yes, exactly this - but they must have promised some level of competitiveness to the likes of Haaland and Bellingham; having Keystone cops at the back undoing all of your good work must be insanely frustrating.
Dortmund have become an embarrassment. Bayern have won the league 9 years in a row, and will make it 10 this year.
It's not like Dortmund are small fry with absolutely no chance of competing with Bayern. What exactly is their purpose if they never put up a title fight in their domestic league?

Speaking of which, I don't understand why Sule decided to make a free transfer to Dortmund from Bayern Munich this summer.
