The score ends up as a 2-1 away win against a good London team full of promising young talent, but with just a 1-0 lead the home team has a goal ruled out as VAR "deems" a player to have been offside in the build up, moments later after a "soft" free-kick is awarded to the away team, the score is 0-2 and the young lads are deflated. The BTN tell us that it's a tight one but VAR's done its job and you're either offside or not.

The score is 0-0 in a game against a promoted team who are taking the Premier League by storm. The team are renown for having a tough defence and their keeper is one of many of their players who has, so far, caught the eye with his fine performances. Inexplicably and uncharacteristically the keeper lets a very soft goal in and the game is won 1-0.

The score is at 1-1 at home to a team pushing for second place. Only one goal has been scored in the second half and a penalty is awarded by the ref. in the 95th minute, for a dive, almost before the diver has even hit the turf (not AFTER the play has continued and then VAR highlights to the ref that a possible penalty needs looking at). The game is won 2-1 and the BTN follow this by telling everybody who's listening that it's CLEARLY a penalty.

1-0 down at home after a very early goal and the oppositions keeper is playing a blinder. After an equaliser is scored a penalty is awarded by the referee (NOT VAR) as the forward "engineers" contact with a defender as he is moving away from goal. The game is won 2-1. The BTN tells its watching audiences that it is again CLEARLY a penalty.

With the score at 0-0 away to an unfancied, but dogged London team, a goal is chalked off for the home team when VAR notices a push by an attacker. With the scores standing at 1-1 after an 82nd minute equaliser by the home team, a scramble ensues in the area as a winner is sought by the away team. Defenders are pushed over and the ball ends up in the net. The 85th minute goal stands, the game is won 2-1 and the BTN tell us that this is the mark of a good team, they never give up hope.

In the home derby game against your near neighbours, several fouls by defenders are ignored and unpunished in the heat of a derby atmosphere. Retrospective action is not taken despite video evidence showing several "unsavory" actions carried out by one player in particular. The BTN do not highlight any of these unsavory moments.

The score is at 1-1 after an 87th minute equaliser in an away game against the team at the bottom of the league and pressure is being applied to score a winner. The equaliser is the only second half goal and the winner is smashed into the net in the 94th minute. The BTN again remind us that this team never give up.

The score is 0-0 in a home game when just before half-time the home team score a goal. VAR checks for a possible handball, after scrutiny the ball is adjudged to have been played off the shoulder rather than the arm and the goal stands. It later emerges that video evidence suggests that there was another possible handball in the buildup to the goal. A different branch of the BTN inform us that this too place too far back in the passage of play for it to be checked despite it only being two passes before the original "handball". On the stroke of half-time an equaliser is ruled out by VAR as a player is adjudged to have been offside in the buildup. The game is won 1-0.

Playing away in London the first goal of the game is scored by the away team. In the buildup a possible hand-ball has been spotted. One camera angle is shown and despite it looking like it probably hit both the attackers and defenders hands it is decided that there is not enough evidence to rule out the goal and it stands. The game is won 1-0.

21 games played and there is a 14 point gap between the 1st and 2nd placed teams, with the leaders having a game in hand.

Nothing to see here people, they're just good at grinding out results and have been the best team this season.

You have to love these guys. Absolute mental shakedown over the whole line!! 😀

Isn't the meltdown of other teams fans with their tin foil hat conspiracies merely the icing on the cake to these current times?

Definately. Your avatar shows a person in much more helthy condition than the majority of those guys. Black Adder the Fifth will be made on memory of these times!!!

This thread has peaked. Mods might as lock it and move it to the vault.

I seriously don't even remember the incidents being referred to. I've got a sleep deprived life to lead. This fucker is hating this run more than I'm able to enjoy it. I'm almost jealous.

I feel like City fans aren't getting the widespread ridicule they deserve. In fact, my impression is that quite a lot of fans of other teams also agree with a fair chunk of this shit. Obviously not to the same extent, of course. I think that's why I find this more depressing than funny. If it's a minority of people, it seems like a large one.

What does get me every time, though, is the hypocrisy as they label us cheaters while turning a blind eye to their own club's antics. It's almost as if it's some sort of next-level super-whoosh. It's got to be.

Err.... UAE has never bitched and moaned about "the West" or America. In fact, most Emirs would travel to those countries and splurged. The UAE rulers are not the same as those ISIS fellas you watched at CNN or some movies. Not all Arabs or Muslims hate the west.

No they have not in public but at the same time the saudi's and the emirates were the main source of funding to get ISIS started up, another out of control project. The images of Yemen, and now their interference in wrecking Libya is something to take note of. Its not all simple.

Oh and @Ijg , yes I can be a massive cunt, and sometimes love it.

The LiVARpool thing is has certainly take shape in the minds of ther fans - not just Man U. None of us give a shit, but it would be good if City And Leicester got 80 plus points, just to show that this season we did have teams that could have won the league in previous seasons. Makes us look even better.

Err.... guess who weaponised those ISIS fellas by the way? It ain't the two groups you mentioned. As you said it's not all simple, and who is the big brother for these goons to go and fuck around with them neighbouring countries? So happened these fellas they are wrecking got oil too...

Someone on Blue Moon has posted the various reasons they are so anti-Liverpool on the forum in general, it is giving me the energy needed to make it through my afternoon, enjoy. 🙂

NOTE: This was in reply to being asked why posters were being aggressive towards a Liverpool supporting poster.

Because we’ve heard it all before, usually from complete bellends. You may prove to be the exception that proves the rule and post constructively about LFC without feeling the need to denigrate MCFC or it’s fans or minimise legitimate causes for criticism of LFC, but almost without exception LFC fans posting on here have, sooner or later, revealed themselves to be pathetic wind up merchants.

By way of examples, and as a word to the wise that may help avoid future disagreements, whether conducted in civil tones or otherwise:

- minimising the actions of the coach attack before the champions league game as ‘a few bottles thrown by a few idiots’ is unlikely to meet with a hugely sympathetic response. The coach was struck over 100 times in a four minute period. The video taken inside the coach is available on the appropriate thread if you wish to count them yourself.

- minimising the long antisocial and essentially criminal history of a very substantial number of LFC fans, in respect of incidents of violence, dishonesty, and abusive behaviour again as ‘every club has a handful of idiots’ is again unlikely to greeted enthusiastically.

- lack of knowledge of a very significant history of aggressive, antisocial or criminal actions on the part of LFC directly against MCFC and it’s supporters is likely to antagonise. Examples include the booing of Ederson as he was stretchered off the field of play during the 5-0 game with deep lacerations (caused by Sadio Mane) to the face, leading some to shout ‘I hope your goalie dies’; the cheering at Anfield when Yaya Toure went down with an injury and was substituted, the bricking of a supporters’ bus departing from the same game, and the assaults following the same game of City fans at Lime Street station.

- failure to acknowledge that both LFCs fan base and the club itself at best turn a bling eye to, and more likely condone the actions of a sizeable proportion of their fan base when it comes to such matters is equally likely to antagonise.Chelsea had a significant problem with racism amongst it’s fanbase that it has tried hard to tackle. The club you support has not lifted a finger to address these issues with its supporter base.

- failure to recognise the considerable favouritism that LFC benefits from within the media, and acceptance of falsehoods peddled within the media about MCFC is again likely to provoke discontent. Likewise lack of recognition of the benefit that VAR has provided to LFC this season

- failure to recognise that LFC has in its history benefited substantially from the introduction of very considerable funding by its then owners the Littlewoods family, which led directly to a period of dominance both domestically and in Europe, and hypocrisy in respect of the introduction of funding to City from Sheikh Mansour never goes down especially well, likewise a failure to recognise that FFP was brought in at the behest of a group of clubs, acting as a cartel that included LFC, in order to negate the commercial challenge that MCFC posed.

- failure to recognise LFC’s very significant role in the creation of the premier league, which acted to that club’s benefit (together with MUFC, Arsenal, Spurs and Everton) to the considerable detriment of every other first division club.

This is an indicative list of the types of things supporters of LFC have said in the past on this forum that has done much to generate the aggressive response you mention. Some people just do not like LFC or its fans, and if you choose to visit a rival team’s forum you must expect a degree of that. However the attitude of the overwhelming majority of MCFC fans has, over time, developed from a case of ‘my enemy’s enemy’ to downright disgust at the behaviour of your club and your supporters. The post that told you just to fuck off yesterday was rightly pulled, but that attitude towards LFC fans is sadly now commonplace. I have no evidence that supports this conclusion, but I would say the overwhelming majority of City fans cannot stomach either your club or its supporters. The conduct of a number of LFC fans that have chosen to post on this forum, and have since been banned, has not helped dispel that attitude.

You may feel it’s unfair that you are disliked because of the team you support, as a result of the conduct of previous posters who support the same club, and you may feel it is unfair generally that LFC fans are tarred with the same brush as those who caused the deaths of, say, 39 Juventus fans at Heysel, but there it is. The sins of the father and all that.

I hope that answers your question.
