I have no idea what the plan was here today. I said after the midweek game that we might just have to put out a weakened side and take it on the chin. For some reason Pep has decided not to go full strength, nor weak as piss, it’s some kind of half and half toss off. I would rather have seen a bunch of kids out there with us making a point of it being a step to far.

I was recently reading on a general Irish forum, Man U fans discussing who they would prefer to win the title and other trophies this season.
I was surprised that quite a few said they would prefer Liverpool, as Man City are a fake club with dubious owners engaged in sports washing.
Some preferred Man City to win for the reasons you have given.
And some just couldn't bring themselves to want Liverpool to win despite Man City being the club they are.
I suspect, if the roles were reversed, I would be in this last category.
