Origi - cracking goals that made big differences

The most chilled out footballer i've ever seen. More laidback than Paolo Wanchope and Berbatov combined.

Each time he scores, he gives that 'did i just score ? oh well, what's for supper later?' dazed and confused look.

I love him, I always liked him as a player despite the obvious frustrations. He's the ultimate cult hero. I watched that goal again the other day, where he lobbed T-Rex, just effortlessly sublime. He could have been ridiculously good if he had that extra bit of determination or something, I don't know, but what he did give us he will forever been remembered for. Let's hope there's a couple more of those moments left in him before he moves on in the Summer.

We'll never know how good big Divock might have become if that guttersnipe Funes Mori hadn't taken him out in the derby match, because going into that game Divock was really motoring. He hasn't hit that form since, but even so his LFC account is well in credit IMO and we may actually find it hard to replace him. How many strikers are not only willing to be regular supersubs but also capable of matchwinning goals at the highest level when they do come on?

Divock Origi YNWA.

Ditto !

Saw a thing on twitter the other day where some top reds were incensed that people think origi is a bigger legend than Suarez

He is. Comfortably. It's not even debatable. Suarez seasons with us were for the stats books, Origis contributions were for the history books.

Depends how you define "legend", I guess. Suarez is without question the most extravagantly gifted footballer I have ever seen playing for this club, but ultimately Divock's contributions are indeed the ones which will go down in the history books.

For all Suarez brilliance and extravagant play; it all meant fuck all. Fun for a highlight reel. Like jay jay okocha.

Origi gave us spine tingling moments that meant something.

He needs to be offered a new contract.

Divock must stay!!!

He will score at least one more vital goal before he leaves to play a part in us winning something.

The man really deserves that statue

He’s looked much better this year compared to last year, I thought he was done. Unfortunately he got injured in Jan while Salah and Mane were away, otherwise he probably would have got some more playing time.

Has scored some important goals but seriously lads the guy plays like a headless chicken
I have no problem with him whatsoever, don't care if he stays or goes but I'm never encouraged when I see him come on or start. I even think alot of people look back at his golden patch before that Everton game in rose tinted glasses, yes he scored about 6 or 7 goals in about 8 or 9 games but his over all game was still the same, run around like a headless chicken.
I'm sure if you looked hard enough you'd find that Stuart downing had a decent run of games at one stage (maybe)

for me it’s about the poignancy of coming on in some of the games and scoring the clincher ..

He was a kid with potential then. And that potential was exciting. Downing probably did had a decent run at some stage but he was never an exciting player for us.

Origi came onto the scene at the same time as Rashford. And there was some debate on here who was the better player. Origi's done more than Rashford has so far.

I wouldn't want to rely on Origi for a whole season too but for a month or so, he's perfectly good for that.
