...will be on duty as usual tonight. The past couple of times or so that it's been on, I haven't actually been sitting there watching it but have been following the game elsewhere in the house, and it hasn't worked. So tonight I won't be on here during the game, but stationed in front of our trusty old talisman.

Does it work twice in one week ? Or do you have to give it spells on the bench ? If it is an either/or situation I'd prefer you to keep it in reserve for United - and let's do Basel tonight off our own bat !
 
Don't know the answer, Froggy, but we'll soon find out. I may not be able to sit and watch it this Sunday so tonight's a work night for the old thing. 🙂

Personally I would much rather you sat in front of it next Sunday instead of tonight!!

Hadn't realised I was banned, gents 😀, just on station in front of the old thing (and Old Faithful), then I couldn't face coming on here after the final whistle.

The one thing which Old Faithful can't counteract is sheer stupidity. The only major Cup Final I've watched on it which we lost was the re-run against Milan in Athens, when Rafa made the disastrous mistake of hooking Masher and Kaka proceeded to run riot. Last night it was Markovic's ridiculous little pansy flick backwards at the defender. Brendan did himself zero favours by criticising the referee for the red card afterwards IMHO.
