NOW RESOLVED: THREAD FORMATTING ISSUES

All,

Since we've added the front page we're experiencing some formatting issues on threads. Until I can get to the bottom of this I advise using Firefox as there doesn't seem to be any issue with that.

It happened at home last night too using Firefox

whats is it you are using sunny some smf mods?

sounds like some bad code.. and IE is being picky...

It's not the SMF code, it's something within the portal mod that's causing the formatting issue. As soon as I disable the portal the formatting issue dissappears.

Incidentally Firefox is doing it to... albeit moving it to the other side..

in the template side of thing check your tags and alignment positions in the new code.. and you have closed them correctly..

(assuming smf uses them)

ie <div> </div> etc..

The frontpage has now been disabled until I get to the bottom of the current formatting issue.

The thread formatting issues only seem to be prevalent with certain browsers and versions:

WORKING BROWSERS:
IE 8 works
Firefox 3.5.3 works


NOT WORKING:
Google Chrome
IE 6
Safari (which is a bag of shite anyway)

IE7 now works too..

The frontpage/thread formatting issue should now be resolved. Can you all check with your individual browsers please. I've tested Chrome and Safari and it seems to work fine.
 
I am unable to select any other theme than the red background. That is on my lappy (google chrome) or my I-Touch (safari). It wont let me use the blue background, even when it is selected through the front page. Any thoughts.

It's fine for me on FF & chrome, just checked.

I reapplied the theme before mate. Should be fine now
 
But why does it show Chat (2) at the top of my screen again? There are people in the chat section and once again, I am not invited. 😛olice:
