Not a bite ...

Kicks his footed back and upwards, clearly attempting to kick him in the nuts. Typical cynical kind of play you seem from La Liga tbh.

Yeah he'd fit right in with the rest of our strikers who can't score.

We sold him at the right time by the looks of it

Not a chance. He will score for fun (at least 15) during the next 6 months in la Liga! You can take that to the bank!

I really dont see how hes going to be a success there, everything about the way the play is all wrong for him, the tempo the intricate passing, the way the front 3 is structured. Hes going to need Messi to be absent for a decent spell if hes ever going to get a run as the focal point of the attack. Once they start back after the Christmas break there will be real pressure on him to start delivering goals. Hes in a difficult position, they went out and paid huge money for him on the back of a poor season where Madrid had taken home the European Cup, in typical La Liga fashion he wasn't really the player that they needed and they probably should have invested in 2 top class centre backs instead. Hes not good enough to displace Messi so its difficult to see how its going to work for him, one of the notable things about his time with us is how much of the ball he got, he was very very effective but not very efficient, he conceded possession frequently and took ridiculous shots, he will not get that luxury at Barcelona.

People may not want to admit it but I think we sold him at the right time, we just didnt use the money very well. His value was never going to get any higher as a result of his appalling disciplinary record, hes 28 next month so hes also unlikely to get any better physically than where he was last season

@RedStar - Yup, I said last year he'd struggle because unlike Liverpool, he'll never be the #1 option ... Our team was designed for him - credit to Rodgers - and it allowed him to maximize his potential. Barca's system - though it will allow him to get his fair of chances - will never utilize him the way we did, and hence, he won't be as deadly ... I also agree with you re: Barca's terrible move - had they signed 2 world class CBs, they'd be the best team in La Liga ... Suarez would do great with Madrid, who are more about breaking with pace and numbers.
