I am all for critical analysis , even when it seems like we have had a comfortable win.
Perspective is a good thing and should be used to view victories and defeats alike.
However when someone who is normally extremely critical of our defeats, irrespective of the performance that went with it, wants to critque our victories, it is an easy assumption to make that the same poster is simply pursuing a negative agenda full stop.

I'm not, but there hasn't been a lot to be happy about this season. Hence me being negative.
The cup ties have been great, though. Man C, Chelsea, Man U etc no complaints from me there.
I was absolutely confident we'd beat Everton in the semi's and we did. Just trying to build up that confidence ahead of the Chelsea game.

There were many performances in the league to garner confidence from, before we totally fell off the pace since February.
Maybe it is best if the kennyouts leave the matchday threads on days that we win to those who still have a positive outlook regarding our club.

How is it a certainty if I'm trying to convince myself that we'll beat a certain team?

I've always had confidence in Suarez but he won't beat Chelsea by himself.

And the final sentence was to clarify that despite the results prior to the Everton game I fully believed that we'd win that game due to aforementioned reasons despite many posters here thinking we'll lose.
Was it a certainty? Ask those who thought we'd get knocked out.
I however, I felt confident that we'd win.

Also we've given a way a few leads lately too, so it was common sense to keep our best players on as long as possible. One goal and they were right back in it at 2-0 and our confidence is already brittle.

Anyway, the Arsenal point is a fair one, they might be in the CL, but for all their tippy tappy bollocks, what will they walk away with again this season? Champions League Qualification? It's great they look pretty, that's about all they've got though.

Coming out of a match I've paid £50 to watch, losing 1-0 but playing well feels so much better than forking out £50 plus travel to watch us win 3-0 and play above average.

I didn't think we were average yesterday anyway, I thought Norwich were poor and we were again inconsistent infront of goal, but I thought the midfield worked well and supported Suarez alot better than it has done of late, there was also less hoofball than of late, we got it down and played it round quite well, some nice intricate passes through the middle and decent wide play for once.

I guess Kenny thought we were playing well and he didn't need to. To be honest, we were watching the game and it was around 70odd minutes someone said they'd just realised we hadn't even looked like making a change. That said it all for me really, we didn't notice because we weren't looking for it, which I can only assume was because we were playing well enough. I'd have put Maxi on, FWIW, but it wasn't majorly necessary.
