He's no kid now though.

And he just doesn't offer enough. No pace, no penetration. Can't cross. Doesn't get wide. Can't defend. He has a tidy touch on the ball but we need more at this stage from our wide players. He's on godo money and doesn't delivery enough so needs to shipped out.

I like Maxi, he won't make much of an impact in a dogged away game against Stoke stranded on the left wing but in a pass and move environment in a confident Liverpool team he can be considered a fine asset.

As I said already, he can be limited (which is way he often goes missing) but have a lot of technical ability and compliments others around him.

Yup, holding my hands up here.

Didn't see this spurt of form coming at all. He's been very impressive and you can't argue with 7 goals in 3 games (that right?).

He was pretty ordinary for large parts of the season, I don't think anyone would suggest otherwise, but if he can keep this form up he'll be a fantastic asset for the squad.

He doesn't mind being a bench option (as he's said before) and WANTS to be here (which is the kind of 'bench player' we need) ... He obviously works better in Kenny's system - so I think it's a win win for both sides if he stays.

Worst case scenario: cheap babysitter for Lucas and Suarez.

Yep, no arguments here.

Squad players are important, and if you get one who's happy to stay regardless of starts, has a good attitude, and actually contributes when he does play - then there's no need to get rid at all.
