Been a huge theme this season..

But when you have 2 Strikers sitting on the bench with goals in them (allegedly) it is most certainly worth thinking about changing things..

I think redninja is trying to tell us that he's impotent.
This is a better answer. But the real answer is that RedNinja posted this right before we got our first shot on target against Palace in the 64th minute of the game.

Since the turn of the year we've scored more premier league goals then any other team.

Eat my facts.

We've also looked short of goals for much of the season, we've got a shite goal difference because we haven't scored that many and we've invited pressure as a consequence and conceded.

Jono's right, to a degree, against City last week we went 81 minutes without a shot on target, with two strikers sat on the bench. We brought on Origi and it changed. We did the same against Palace, we brought on Benteke and it changed. We've got some seriously good attacking options and it's horses for courses, what worked against City midweek didn't work against Palace, so we changed it and got our rewards, but there have been times when we've delayed reacting and it's cost us, quite alot.

I guess a bigger question is whether we've got enough from our attack?

Benteke, Firmino, Coutinho, Sturridge, Ings, Origi.. that's a seriously good attack by anyone's reckoning. We've suffered alot of injuries, granted, but on paper that's pretty mouthwatering and we're also starting to see how effective a squad is now we've got a few players fit. As I said, we've been able to make changes in the last couple of games that have had a positive effect. But we've also spent 140 odd minutes across two of those games without being able to muster a single shot on target, then we smash three past City in between, it's us all over, inconsistent as fuck.

It what I was getting at, thanks Mark..

It's a concern we get well into a game before we have our first shot on Target..

If Plan A is not working, change it bring players on that have goals in them or potentially change things..

I think Klopp needs to be making Subs much earlier in this situation..

I think it's a question of mentality too. One thing we know about recent Liverpool sides is they turn it on when it suits. Case in point being the reaction to the Cup defeat, by going out and smashing City midweek, or the reaction to the sending off meaning we finally start playing. It's inexcusable, as admirable as it is in some respects.
