Also, Markovic and Can are midfielders playing defence. As I intimated, we had no midfielders on the bench because they were all on the field.

If you're a youngster in this squad trying to break through, you certainly want to be a player who is either able to play multiple positions, or willing to learn to do that. For Manquillo, that means learning to play at LWB as well. For Teixeira and Luis Alberto, both centrally and wide midfield, and both deep and advanced.
