I had no idea what I was doing and I wasn't even online for it. I set a few picks but the majority was auto picked for me!

Ah so thats why Rams D went in the 6th round. And McCaffrey 2nd. Makes sense now.
Like another running back. He'll do well. Can't believe your autopicks.. Plus Ertz and Rudolph as TEs. For me you start as favourite. Despite what the nfl website says.

Waivers basically mean you put them up for the drop. However you can't claim him back until he becomes a free agent. Usually 2 days
During the time a player is on a waiver wire (1st day). Anyone else can claim him, based on a set order of worst team to best team.
However if the worst team wants 2 players on the waiver wire, he can only claim his first choice if the second player is wanted by someone else. As the order geta reset and he'll go back to 6th pick in our league until another game week passes or everyone uses a waiver pick.
Does that make sense?

Trading a 3rd round pick for Bryant, then cutting Bryant because a suspension is expected.
Trading Mack away. Because they didn't want to have two players taking up 48m in cap space - meaning they picked Carr over Mack. That's insane.
Trading for AJ McCarron after cutting two QB's who are probably better than him.

I'm not sure that's fair here.
My reasoning would be this:
1) It's far easier to win a super bowl was a very good to great QB than an average one (see Dilfer is the last one I remember to win one, though I'm tempted to say Eli).
2) the idea of paying so much money to two players unless the salary cap explodes is VEry risky (follow the Rams over the next 2 years - I think that team is in shit with the extension they gave Donald, who is fucking gold).
3) The Raiders, whether they want to admit it or not, are on a 3 year plan to be a to level team by the time they hit Vegas. Will Mack be the same player in 3 years time? Or will they be better with 4 1st rounders in the next two years?

Why give Carr a huge contract and let a generational defensive talent leave ? Mack's career to this point (bar a Superbowl) is in line with Ray Lewis' career. Derek Carr is a middle of the road QB.
And have a look at their first round draft picks for the last 15 years - those picks are a gamble at beat
