Just read that.

So Henderson keeps his place and our wing-backs are both just back from injury?

How has Collocini been playing this season. Defoe one of there best players so this helps. Especially if thug Taylor is now at CB he just won't cope with Suarez and Sturridge.
Must have missed that transfer from Spurs during the window ...

Maybe he's helping with the delivery?

Enrique is injured.

Johnson and Cissokho will be a bit rusty. Hope we get the 3 points.

Rory (and other tactually inclined posters), what in your opinion is the best way to counter the threat of 2 wingers who like to cut in on their stronger foot to shoot? Would 3 CBs be more of a help or a hindrance (if they are unable to prevent Remy and Ben Arfa from shooting from distance and just cover up Mignolet's field of vision/increase the likelihood of deflections)? I would think that having a lot of players in the middle is the answer, so maybe it's time to ditch a CB in favor of another CM (Allen?).

A disciplined DM is more important than worrying over a back 3 or back 4.

I'd like to see us go with a 4-2-3-1 and not instruct the 3 to drop back and defend. If we can pinch it off them when they're trying to attack, then we move it forward quickly and hit them in transition. They're not good enough at the back to cope with us running at them and I'd also back our back 6 to cover their attacks.

I hope so to, this is a game where 4-2-3-1 is much better suited. But do we play Suarez behind Sturridge or out left?
Who comes in on the right, Sterling? I'm not to keen on starting Allen, Cissokho and Johnson when all 3 have just returned from injury.
I think Rodgers will play 3-5-2 tbh.

Our only "disciplined DM" just became a father and isn't in the squad.

Henderson can do his job, & has the fitness to do it for 90 minutes, which he doesn't currently.

I think Lucas being in whilst stevie will be fucked after playing his heart out for England from the full 90 minutes (only the second time he's done a full 90 minute at full tilt this season) would have given us problems come 65 minutes.

Having Henderson & that engine of his in there should nullify that risk somewhat.

Mignolet
Toure Skrtel Sakho
Johnson Gerrard Hendo Moses Cissokho
Sturridge Suarez

Thats my guess

Oh, didn't know that about Lucas. We could have used him here, especially against Ben Arfa and Cabaye picking it up in the hole.

Anyway, doesn't matter - we're gonna absolutely batter these lot today.

We'll win by 3 or 4. True fact.

I don't have a good feeling about this at all. It can go either way with these cunts at their place. They've beaten us twice the last couple of seasons prior the the hammering last season.

Both sides attacking, both sides poor(ish) defensively & both sides having one good half & one poor half consistently.

If this falls right (or wrong!) we could have an absolute thriller like another 4-3.

My (hypothetical) money's on 1-3 though.
