It is an absolute fucking joke that a shower of shite like that New Zealand side are going to be in a World Cup.

I watched Saturday's game, and a few others they've played this year; they're absolutely fucking rubbish, and will get destroyed by everyone in South-Africa.

I have a strong suspicion that, had Ireland beaten the French on Saturday night, your bile would be somewhat diluted.
Ha, I take it you haven't seen New Zealand play recently then?
Oh, I've no doubt that they're rubbish. I just detected a heightened frustration that they had qualified mainly due accident of geography.

Yeah, you're probably right.

I think it's great. THey were involved in one of the greatest World Cup Comedy moments ever the last time they qualified against Scotland.

Besides.. more interest in the World Cup this end of the world is a good thing.

The qualification system is absurd from many angles - not just in Oceania.
Argentina can lose 6 games and still make it, whilst >= two losses in 10 games was enough to put teams out in most UEFA qualifying groups.

The World Cup seems diminished in importance to the European Championships if you're talking about the greatest concentration of world's best teams. But the World Cup seeks to attract a global audience and so fringe teams who offer questionable viewing enhancement - like Ireland - can to get to fuck.

How about your give us a list of 32 Countries who wouldn't offer "questionable viewing ehnacement" then?

Wikipedia "reliably" lists 193 sovereign states - 192 of which offer greater football entertainment than Ireland.
Can't be bothered to list them here so here you go: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sovereign_states

Yes, the mouth-watering spectacle that a 3rd/4th place play-off between Kiribati and Guinea-Bassau would be.

Ha. I'm just pulling yer pud.

I'd rather place my John Thomas in the hands of a raving lunatic with a pair of scissors than see France go through.

Sorry Stevie. I don't speak gibberish.

I love the Kiwis! 'Do yah wanna chip bru? No i only eat plank-ton'.

Think the football team is called the 'all whites' hope they get in the aussies group.

They will get battered but!

They'll end up in England's group and England will beat them 1-0 via an 87th minute deflected free kick from Germaine Genius. At which point the press will release headlines like 'IT WAS ALL-WHITE ON THE NIGHT' and then declare England favourites to win the whole thing. Then they will get beat in the quarters. JT & Lamps will shed a tear and lament the under achievement of our World class players.

Needless to say, the referee in charge of the game that see's England knocked out of the tournament will be hounded by every tabloid newspaper in the Country, until he's forced to retire from the game.
