So do I. I never got why people were so elated about that plain red one from last season, especially them saying it was somehow traditional. We've had white on our kits going right back to Shankly's time. If that's not tradition I don't know what is.

In Shanks' time it was white around the neck and wrists. There was never any weird toothpaste gone AWOL style decoration. The whole point was to use a simple but powerful show of pure red. That's the tradition. The stripes, pipes and pointillist patterns are another tradition entirely.

I've already said I don't like the piping on this new kit and find it too obtrusive.
But the fact remains that there's been white detail on our kits since those days, and it would have been easy enough not to have it if the aim was pure red. Those kits are part of the tradition I'm familiar with: all red kit with a little bit of white.
