He shits on Victor Valdes.

I'm just sayin'.

No question about that. But Barca don't need a new 35 mill goalkeeper regardless
They didn't really need a new 25m DM either.

Neuer will join Bayern Munich in summer.

We should definitely go for Rene Adler. He's head and shoulders above Neuer. There's a little hype around Neuer because of the World Cup and him joining Bayern but Adler will definitely be Germany's #1 for the years to come.

Adler it is (or should be).

From the BBC Rumours page today

"Manchester United have been linked with a surprise swoop for Barcelona's former Liverpool player Javier Mascherano, with Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson keen to add a defensive midfielder to his ranks."

if mash went there that would prove the 'wife unhappy' talk as absolute bollox.
No-one can resist the chance to play alongside Sir Ryan Giggs.

Even Masher's wife can't turn that down.

Adler is apparently a die hard Manure fan.

I'd go for Lloris.

After all these years and heartbreaks, you still haven't learned have you?

New Goalie?

There is this Vincent chap from one of the African Country, he was excellent in the World Cup. I think he plays for one of the former USSR states. How is he doing nowadays?

I don't give much about footballer's preferences for fotball clubs nowadays.

If we offer him a decent enough contract, he'll be a fan of ours in no time.

Who?

You must be talking about Nigeria's keepr, Vincent Enyeama.
He plays for Israeli champions Hapoel Tel Aviv and has been tipped to move on for the last couple of seasons. He's been saying that he'll definitely be off in the summer.
I think he's an excellent keeper and would do well for a top European side. Definitely worth trying and will not be an expensive signing.

Ah yes, that's him. I saw on of the WC games where he almost shut out Spain I think. He was good but not sure how he is doing now. Yup, should be cheap to sign, if not as first choice but would be sound for a back up.

edit: it was Argentina, not Spain.

Does anyone watch Gulacsi enough to know if he could make it? Keepers like Lloris, Neuer, etc. started playing regularly in the first team at about 20, and Reina started getting regular games at about 20/21. If Gulacsi is good enough, perhaps he ought to be given a go.

If I read and remembered correctly, Gulacsi was rated the best keeper in the European U-19 championships in 2009, so I'm just wondering how's he progressed from there (yes, I don't need to be reminded about FSP and ALT...). Read a comment from a Hereford fan who complimented him for his efforts when he was on loan there, claiming that he single-handedly kept them in games at times. And the Tranmere boss seemed impressed by him as well on his recent loan spells. Of course, it's a different level of football but again, if he's got the toolkit, then why not take a gamble especially if we've limited funds and numerous holes to plug?

I really think if you have a good young keeper, you need to play them in the Carling Cup and FA Cup. I mean what the fuck was the idea of buying Brad Jones when we had Gulacsi, Hansen and Bouzanis? I hope Kenny and our new goalkeeping coach make a commitment to develop one of them and play them in the cup games next season.

From what I've seen of our young goalies none of them seems to have got what it takes to make it at the very top. Bouzanis is perhaps the one that looks most promising but I highly doubt him too.

Pepe would be a great loss. If only we were 3-4 points better off I'd really fancy us to get CL. Only one thing for it- keep winning boys, just keep winning.

Not arsed if Reina goes, no keeper is worth 35M. Sell him, get another good one for 10M, 25M in the bank.

Its inevitable anyway, so don't get attached ladies.

Mishra - I'd prefer to send them out on loan and make sure they're going to clubs where they can get games weekly. Even if that means starting at League Two. The problem I have with cup games is that they take place once every few weeks and the player doesn't get a good stretch of games at all. It's a particularly huge problem for keepers as unlike other positions, it's the one which doesn't get rotated at all.

KHL - shucks, that's sad to hear. I was thinking Bouzanis at first, but then I read an article where I think the Australian age group manager was talking about Bouzanis' chances of making the Brazil 2014 World Cup, and he kind of mentioned that they were looking at Bouzanis playing consistently at about League Two or League One level to make the cut. I know he's still young, but they seem to reckon that right now, the realistic goal for him would be that level - which kind of says a bit about where he is in his development and readiness for Premier League football.

the rumours (release clause) are 20m and 35m I really hope it's the latter.

There is distancing ourselves from the players and then there is that above. "Not arse if Pepe left"? I'd be fucking gutted. He's the best keeper around plus he's 'ours'. I'd be devastated if he went to United. I found the Torres switch easier to stomach as it was to Chelsea. Reina going to United would royally piss me off.

On a side note, We'd have lost Alonso, Mascherano, Torres and then Reina in a row. Wow.

He won't go if he doesn't want to. You work it out.

Kenny is instilling a 'Prove your good enough to wear the Shirt' mentality back into the Players.

As has been stated if someone ANYONE doesn't want to pull on that shirt, fuck them off, they don't belong in our team.

I am a little worried about Pepe though, he is another one who I thought 'got us', and its not so much the press statements as Marks 'insider' stuff that shows he has had enough.

Whats with the fucking Spanish contingent? As soon as the going got tough, they all seem to want to fuck off out.

Everyone can see the leaps and strides we are now making, everyone can see the purchases just made.

I simply can't understand Torres fucking off, and Pepe wanting out, just when they should be pulling their socks up and digging in with us.
