Not at the moment. The modification currently conflicts with this version of the forum software and prevents quoting in Quick Reply. It'll be applied when the bugs are fixed.

If I click on the thread 'bar' (like, to the right of the title) instead of actually ON the thread title; it displays this message:

Fine, I'll take my perfectly working quick reply box and useful suggestion and go elsewhere then.

I can't seem to find the home page that had the latest headlines. Has this gone or am I just being an idiot and can't find it? Well done on all the hard work on keeping the site up and running by the way.

It will be back but we'll be looking for some ideas from people for things to go on there ;D

My "NEW" button issue became fine but now it's not working again.

Great work by the way, Sunny, you Colossus !

Sunny,
A- Everytime I click on the next page, it takes me to the bottom of the page I then have to scroll up to the top..anyway it can just take me directly to the top please?
B- I have fat sausage fingers and often I click close to the button I'm looking for and miss, previously this would just be ignored but now it comes up with some 'you are doing something forbidden' page (I feel shame everytime this page comes up, deep deep shame) again if this can be looked into I would appreciate it.

If not, well thanks anyways..browsing is easier generally colours are cool..and it looks a million times better on my phone.

Hi sunny notice you applied the fixes I recommended.

Another fix for you, will definitely round your title bars as the header fix didn't although fixed something else for you..

Header bars driving me nuts with their square edges and bad text alignment..

goto line 791 index.css, you should see this

Code:
h4.titlebg img.icon
{
  float: left;
  margin: 5px 8px 0 0;
}

at line 796 (below the above) add the following ;

Code:
div.cat_bar
{
  background: #99abbf url(../images/theme/main_block.png) no-repeat 0 -160px;
  padding-left: 9px;
  height: 31px;
  overflow: hidden;
  margin-bottom: 1px;
}
div.title_bar
{
  background: #e3e9ef url(../images/theme/main_block.png) no-repeat 0 -200px;
  padding-left: 9px;
  height: 31px;
  overflow: hidden;
  margin-bottom: 1px;
}

save, upload, jobs a good 'un 🙂

This will also fix the grey Title bars for the stats at the bottom;

After applying the above fix goto line 813

Code:
/* rounded bars needs a different background here */

after line press return

at the new line 814 add the following;

Code:
div.title_barIC
{
  background: #dadfe6 url(../images/theme/main_block.png) no-repeat 0 -120px;
  padding-left: 9px;
  height: 31px;
  overflow: hidden;
  margin-bottom: 1px;
}
div.title_barIC h4.titlebg
{
  background: url(../images/theme/main_block.png) no-repeat 100% -120px;
}

save, upload, jobs also a good un

I find having to log in before I can view replies in a thread to be somewhat obnoxious. I log in when I want to comment. Don't think I should have to before that.

And what, exactly, is obnoxious about it ? That you may have to log in a massive one time ? That people may have to actually register to view stuff so we can track real usage of the site ? That it's actually a temporary measure anyway until something else gets resolved? That we should allow guests to browse the forum indefinitely and contribute nothing to it ? We're always going to try new things in the forum - some will work some won't. Feel free to comment by all means but spare us the obnoxious comments please. It's hardly that at all.

To be fair sunny, it is a bit awkward the system, when I am in work it is always good to have a browse before logging in to actually reply to something, more so as at times I can be in different locations. You should go back to the ol system of giving a limit to how many threads can be viewed before having to log in, so if a user has a particular thread they are following they wont be restricted by not logging in and like wise a guest get a feel for what we are about before being asked register in order to view more.

I personally think their is no harm in allowing guests to browse forums with certain restrictions. If people want to register they will if the content is good enough, 'forcing' them into it, can at times have a habit of turning people away more so if there is nothing to view or relate to, therefore effecting visits to this site long term.

BTW you get my email regarding couple of more fixes to the site ? In previous post in this thread here and here, if you haven't... Will format and sort out properly (include rounding) all the title bars within the forum, as at the moment they look a little untidy in some areas.

Got your email thanks Jono .A bit busy to implement at the moment. My preference is also the limited page views but unfortunately it doesn't work as yet with this version. We have to do something to get new members to join as having the forum fully open to browsers ends up with very low registration rates which is a complete waste of our time and effort.

The new mod is a temporary measure as I say. It's not ideal but it's in no way obnoxious either.

No problem sunny, in your own time.. Happy to help where I can, things are quiet at the mo so can chip in here n there..

Restriction for guests I would consider having in place

Hide Images From Guests >> http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1942

Hide Info Center From Your Guests >> http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1335

Hide links from guests >> http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=342

Hide signatures from guests >> http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=2402

Limit a guests Daily page views >> http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1290 (I assume you mean this one.. a manual installation may get this working)

The latter installs OK but there's no counter thus there's no limitation. It's a known bug for this version

When on my phone the field sizes for buttons seem a fair bit smaller than before, I.e the phone telling me I've clicked on the poster rather than the topic started by that poster / last posted in by that poster happens more frequently, don't know if hit boxes can be altered or if anyone else is even finding this an issue but yeah
