Was poor for Brighton last night. They scored two after he Went off, although one Was a scramble and the other solo strike from the edge of the area.

He's generally playing well for them and a Brighton fan I know thinks he's technically fantastic.

I think he has the potential. The bigger challenge will be finding a role in a team that already has excellent players where he'd be best suited to play. So I fear his most likely future will be a few sub appearances before moving on, but he's definitely got it in him to become a fine player.

He can on against Fulham last season towards the end of the season and threw himself into a big tackle. I remember Gerrard seeming quite pleased with Tex after it.

He was. But then we went off and added Lallana and Markovic, and promoted Ibe. He'll really have to impress during the pre-season if he's to have any chance of staying and getting minutes. He might get a lucky break in a sense, as Ibe is probably going to the U21 European championships from mid- to end-June, which means he'll join training later and may thus be a few weeks behind in the pre-season preparations. Assuming Tex doesn't get called up for Portugal U21s, then there's that window opportunity for him.

I think he himself probably isn't too confident of getting into the squad, based on a recent interview. Basically stated that he wants to get into the squad and play but if he couldn't, he'd be happy to stay at Brighton for another season, etc.

Good player, can probably become something like a Lallana standard creative mid in a few years if he keeps working hard. It's probably not going to be worth our while waiting for him to get there, though.

I'm not sure what his contract situation is, but generally speaking I think we'd be well-served trying to get him a PL loan next season and trying to cash in the following summer.

He is pretty similar, but IMHO he's more clinical than Suso, and more adaptable tactically.

Speaking of whom, has played 11 minutes for Milan since his move, in a cup game. I'm not sure Milan is actually the right club for him at least for now, given the crazy situation there. They've had 3 full-time managers in 2 seasons, and who knows whether Inzaghi can last till the end of the season (already rumours are that he'll be sacked if he fails to win this weekend). Under these pressure cooker situations, it'd take quite a brave manager to pick and trust an unproven youngster ahead of more experienced players.

Galliani explaining why Milan didn't go for Adel Taraabt in the winter window:
"As for Taarabt, he’s not back because we have so many wingers. We have [Keisuke] Honda, [Jeremy] Menez, [Stephan] El Shaarawy, Suso, [Alessio] Cerci and [Giacomo] Bonaventura."

That's 5 other players ahead of Suso right now at the club, and all of them still young (22 to 28). Seems rather similar to the situation at Liverpool to me, except that with us, there would've been familiarity and stability, whereas it's chaotic at Milan at the moment.
