I think he's just taking the piss and having a laugh with it. I wouldn't want it in my house or anything but it will be a decent conversation piece in his pub.

Looks a bit like an night school beginners art class effort with it's angles and proportions askew but it's bold and for that reason I admire the effort. Carra portrayed as gladiator, surrounded by foe and adoring crowd alike.

There's also the fact I can't draw or paint for shit so i'm reluctant to criticize too much. The fellas plucky to put it on display, many would either not attempt it or hide it for fear of the piss being taken. Good for him, it's going to be a real feature.

Man, you're making it sound like it is a 10 year old with no arms and who paints with a brush between his teeth and who has won a competition to paint Carra. Instead, this is a professional artist who has been paid shitloads in a commissioned work of art. And thus open to public pillory.
