New back up GK

So I take it that our super huge goalkeeper-frenzy didn't pay off. How many have we signed the last 5 years? 173? And now we want a shit 31-year old Brazilian!? Fucking hell.

He's a back up goalie, why with the moaning?

We have a very promising goalkeeper in Gulasci and he needs to play regularly in order to develop further. This move shows that the club really has high hopes for him.

Because we could sign someone for free who's better than this cunt anyway.

Alexander Doni’s expected transfer from Roma to Liverpool could be wrapped up by midnight on Thursday.

“We should close the deal by the end of the day,” agent Ovidio Colucci exclusively told Impero Romanista.

“Of course anything could happen before the signatures are added to the contracts, but I can confirm that there is only Liverpool for Doni.”

The goalkeeper initially rejected a switch to Anfield, but they have improved their personal terms offer to the player.

Doni, who is presently on €4m a season wages before tax, is no longer required at the Stadio Olimpico as the Giallorossi are searching for a new No 1.

“It’s true that Atletico Madrid also expressed an interest in Doni, even if they didn’t make contact directly,” the agent added.

The only concrete offer has come from Liverpool and we hope to wrap everything up by this evening.”

Doni set for Liverpool medical
Goalkeeper on the verge of completing move to Anfield
Last Updated: July 11, 2011 7:00pm

Sky Sports sources understand Roma goalkeeper Alexander Doni will undergo a medical at Liverpool on Tuesday.

The 31-year-old's agent said last week that a deal was imminent following several weeks of negotiations.

An initial move broke down earlier in the summer after Doni failed to agree personal terms with Liverpool.

But the Brazilian could complete his move to Anfield this week after an agreement was reached with Roma.

Doni would only provide back-up to Kenny Dalglish's first choice, Jose Reina, but would offer an experienced deputy.

Liverpool on Sunday departed for a pre-season tour of the Far East, but members of the medical staff will still be available to oversee Doni's medical.

If Reina didn't travel and Gulasci is on loan, who traveled to China? Brad Jones?

I did. Fill me in instead.

Also I'm hearing news of Dean Bouzanis playing for Melbourne Victory in the A-League - will surely have to be on a loan deal unless LFC release him from his contract.

Sorry for the thread hi-jack. Thought I'll post this here instead of a new thread.

City new boy Martin Hansen earned the plaudits following last night’s 3-1 defeat at Hull.

Despite finalising a one-month loan deal just hours before kick-off, the Liverpool youngster proved a safe pair of hands.

Hansen’s signing concludes Peter Jackson’s long search for a goalkeeper and attention now turns to the flanks.

Trialist Jamie Green will learn his fate this morning following a 75-minute audition on the left wing at the KC Stadium.

“Martin has come here for a month with a view to a longer loan period,” said Jackson.

“He only met the players at 4pm, so it was a bit of a rush getting him in and getting him signed up.

He can only get better because he’s a young keeper and a talented keeper. He made some tremendous saves.

“We’ve got a keeper and we need a wide left player. The search continues. I thought Jamie did okay. A decision will be made and I’ll tell him today.”

how can a keeper earn plaudits when he let in 3
[/quote]

Ha, perhaps it could've been more without his saves and the defence was to blame instead?
