NBA 2014-15 Season

Top 5 rosters in the NBA atm?

Cavs have to be among the top 5.
Warriors?
Clippers?

Trade who?

Players: Our top big man reserve (Wright), Jae Crowder & Jameer Nelson (starting PG)
and a 1st round draft pick (they have 8 in the next few years I think).

If we can somehow motivate Rondo again, we are going to be a major threat to the Griz & Warriors ..

But losing Wright is going to also be a problem -

Fuck Rondo, I'd sell my left testicle to get Curry, not that's a fucking guard. What a season he's having.
Sure Rondo is a great passer, but he can't shoot for shit.

Uh - Rondo is going to a team who's weakest link was its PG, and who's got one of the best offenses in the league despite that. Now if - and it's an if - Rondo clicks and brings his ability to penetrate and pass with the slew of shooters and cutters he has (Parsons, Dirk, Ellis) ... not to mention his perimeter defense (to match with what Chandler brings at center), this is the best starting 5 in Dallas history I'm thinking ... Rondo has proven himself - points wise - when it mattered most ... but he won't need to do that with the Mavs.

Most definitely. Mavs are gonna be very strong.

Cavs and Clips got no bench.

In no particular order,

Warriors: Now that Lee is back, trade him for a backup SG and C. Bogut is permainjured. Great SF/PF hybrid players though.

Spurs: Can't go wrong with them. Depth everywhere. They play the same even without the big 3 (tempted to say 4 with Kawhi Leonard), even if execution fails them sometimes.

Bulls: Gasol was a great pickup, and Butler's having a fantastic season. Strong bench too, with Brooks, Hinrich, McDermott and Gibson.

Hawks: Sleeper pick to win the Eastern Conference.

Memphis: Lights out shooting from Courteney Lee, and with Koufous, Pondexter and Carter off the bench they have strong depth. Also, their home arena is one of the most intimidating. Also, 2 words, Marc Gasol.

No respect for the Mavs ... which is good. The only way they'll surprise is if everyone looks at them as they did last time we made a run.

Modo asked about top 5 rosters. Mavs starting 5 are good, but the lack of backup PF and C worries me. Josh Smith would have been great for you.

Having said that, you have Carlisle whom i rate as top 3 in the league (with Pop and Thibs) .

Carlisle is incredible - we were the only team that was actually close to beating the Spurs last year ...

We'll get Jermaine O'neal as back C & PF ...

Have to say, the western conference this season is fantastic. Any of 10-11 teams can make the playoffs. Shame the Lakers are not one of them.

Smith and Shumpert traded to Cavs + a first round pick.

Cavs looking a lot better now. If only they didn't have trouble with injuries.

I'm in LA next Friday night (16th). Clippers are playing the Cavs. Holding on to find out how long LBJ is out for before buying tickets.

Any idea how long he's likely to be out for?

Cavs got Mozgov for 2 (!) first round picks.

I think they done the right moves in order to fix their leaky defence.
Mozgov is a big no nonsense Center with a pretty decent defensive record.
If he's worth two first rounders...who knows.
I think the Cavs are going for it this season, but what worries me is what will happen next season because they look very fragile. Lebron could leave.
There's probably gonna be a stand off between him and the coach. I think Lebron wants a bigger name in charge.

I wonder what odds Blatt lasts the season.

Went to the London game last night. Loved it! First full game i've seen as its rarely televised here but I do keep up to speed using highlights on the NBA game time app.

OJ Mayo was impressive last night.

Seeing half the crowd in Knicks tops was embarrassing.. they've all clearly done one holiday to NY and picked them as their team. All Anthony shirts too. Glad they lost and glad Anthony was shite. He hit like 25 points by the end but Knicks were much superior with him when they played as a team instead of always looking to him.

Thierry Henry in the crowd was on the bloody big screen every 10 mins!

Good game at the Staples center. Sat a few rows back from Mayweather, Jay Z and his missus.

LeBron reminds me of Thierry Henry. All about him.

Kyrie Irving is incredibly talented.

Kobe torn rotator cuff, some saying out for the season.

LaMarcus Aldridge will miss 6-8 weeks due to ligament tear in his left thumb, ouch, that could hurt the Blazers.

All Star Starters

East:
Wall
Lowry
Melo (HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA)
Lebron
Pau

West:
Curry
Bryant 😕
Davis
Griffin
M. Gasol

No Durant, Paul, Westbrook, Wade, Bosh, Harden (!).
