Nabil Fecked.. Deal off.. Lyon won't take payment in Crisp Sandwiches

@juniormember - harsh interpretation of what I wrote but let me make it clear for you:-

1) Keita was agreed last year and all reports point to last years budget for this signing - so I don't actually count him for this up-coming seasons signings. = LAST YEAR
2) Fabinio - we probably would never have signed him if Can had decided to stay. He is a replacement that will by Klopp's admission take time to fit into our systems. - = REPLACEMENT
3) Allison - lets be honest if Karius had not fucked up so spectacularly in the CL final there is no way we would have gone for him. He is an improvement for sure - but again a replacement.
4) Shaquiri - a cheap option to stick up front for us if something should happen to our 3 aces up front.

Now look at it this way - assume we start each game with Keita in midfield - lets just imagine the game drags on and we get no where we can't break down the opposition or some usual shit like that.... we want to change the game - so what we bring on Shaquiri ? - ok and say that don't work and what we really need is a creative midfielder to make those cute passes - driving from the midfield who do we have now ? - NO ONE !!! - All we have done this season is signed Shaquiri in addition - that's it. Also we probably only signed him because we knew that Ings wants to go - so you could almost argue that Shaquiri is another replacement (an improved one). Squad depth has not been added to.

That's rubbish really Moron, our creativity isn't limited to who the playmaker is. TAA, Robbo, Milner, Salah, Mane, Firmino etc all created alot of goals last season. We've just added three more relatively creative players to that.

We have added a box to box in Keita - but I have no idea if this guy will be able to take a Man City onslaught, or the type that Spurs gave us or some of the lower shite gave us. Most of the stuff was left to the front three to organise themselves - especially after Coutinho left us. Also I don't have the faith everyone else has in Fabinho, he is from France and will definitely take time to get into our system. Shaquiri - could definitely make a difference but all I am pointing out is that in relative terms we have not really added to the squad depth - other than Shaquir at a cheap 13M option.

Weren’t you banging on about how we didn’t need Coutinho, how our team would benefit greatly with him out the club? Now you’re jabbering on about your disgust in the club not replacing him with a like for like player.

I don't understand Twitter, are they quoting themselves there?
The tweet they are retweeting is from June 11th; what they are implying by retweeting it is that progress on the transfer is accelerating (can progress accelerate? You know what I mean).
Or that was my interpretation, though I am twitter ignorant it must be said

Ahhh retweet that's the term, thanks. So a 'new deal is very close' is relevant again, makes sense given the world cup has been ongoing for the last month.

Be nice to see it happen, draw a line under the transfers and completely ignore speculation about incomings.

He was a liability when we were being pressed..but he created a lot and scored those free kicks and somewhat occupied defenders in midfield in deeper positions than our front 3. We need someone like him but stronger with more signature moves than cuntinho.

I've no idea what you mean by 'signature moves', but the problem with Cuntyo with the way Klopp plays and with our front three, is that he isn't really a midfielder. He'll do amazing things but he won't do lots of the things we expect a midfielder to do, like tackle, press, and fill spaces when we have the ball in anticipation of when we don't. Keita will assist, he'll score a few and he'll do all that nasty midfielder stuff too. HE is Coutinho's replacement. And the lad is going to be incredible. He's been putting people through without breaking sweat, albeit in preseason. But he's been doing it with lesser forwards than he's about to work with. Buddha is right. Whilst there's things Cuntyo might do that Keita won't, he has loads of attributes that he'll bring to the table. I'm ridiculously excited about him.

@doctor_mac - thank you very much for your considerate response - I agree with everything on your analysis on Cuntyo (I like that name - so suitable - if I ever met him I would love to say to him and Suarez (before he eats me) - if you loved Cuntolona so much why the fuck did you come to LFC you cunt ?). But I am not sure having a single Keita is going to do the trick - I think we need more and Fekir kind of fits the bill for me from the clips I saw of him with big hope that if we had signed for us I would very much hope he could reproduce the form in the PL. He has skill/talent, a midfield toughness to go with it, and goal-scoring ability from free kicks, close range and long range.

There is also something else that bothers the shit out of me - there are those players that I think are winners, and those that are journeymen who mostly lose and to be honest just bad luck. I want us to sign a fucking winner - we have not done that since we signed Suarez, and before him the last one was Torres. There are players you know that no matter the opposition and how tight they defend - this one player will cause anyone and everyone problems. Not many teams do have them but a Hazard type player is one I consider to be an absolute winner - with the kind of money we are spending it would be great to sign one again. With all these signings so far - they all sound great BUT there are no guarantees that they will be an instant success once the season starts. I can only be sure that Allison will be an improvement on Karius by degrees.

This does scream January transfer doesn't it?

Maybe, but I just hope that January transfer window isn't "desperate search for a short-term striking solution" because Klopp\s clearly taking a massive - and almost half-hearted - gamble on Sturridge, Solanke and co as reserves.

If he actually needs them, we're fucked.

It screams that Aulas is doing so much mind games that nobody knows whats happening, not even himself.

It feels a little better than the same gamble last summer though.
Firmino makes a massive difference but even with shite in the middle, Salah and Mane with Keita seem freaking potent. Last year most of us were pleased with Salah signing but nobody expected him to be such a prolific scorer. Mane’s upped his game too.

Lyon have offered him a new contract according to the French media.

With a special crisps and sandwich clause.

Speaking of crisps, these two look like they've given in to their addiction:
