Tough 1. No one deserved it on the first half besides Kostas and maybe Jones.....then they were both taken off. Subs all did well enough but none of them on long enough.

So on the 2nd half only.

Can only assume you didn't watch the game then, was easily one of the best.

Stats confirm the eye test, won the most duels of any Liverpool player in that first half (6), 91% pass accuracy. Won the most tackles (4/5) and actually looked to get forward and get crosses in. Much better than Robbo's recent outings.

Hard to score this one.

Nunez got the important first goal and tge penalty - but he was otherwise awful and that yellow ruled him out of any chance of MotM.

Salah got 2 goals… but they were penalties and he was otherwise “subdued”.

Even Virgil was sleeping for their goal.

Diaz was pish first half, but full of menace in the second - so I’m loathe to include him for that first half showing.

I saw Trent win at least one tackle….

I’d add that Jones & Slobbers were better 2nd half’s too - mainly because they were sat on their arse on the bench.

For me Mac added the control and Harvey the urgency we missed in the first half and changed the game.

So that’s all just a long winded way of saying :

That's twisted.

Yeah - it was the manner of the yellow - That could easily have been a red - it was brainless and could have cost us the game.

If it was me like Tsimikas where he “took one for the team”, fine, but that was his brainless worst on show.

Goal was good and he won the penalty - I acknowledge that - but I’m sorry (well, I’m not yo be honest), that yellow annoyed me enough to forfeit any points for the rest of the performance.

Of course you can disagree, but ne-ne nenene… the contributions by Macca & Harvey, for me, were more important in turning an insipid performance around.

… and I don’t care if you think I’m wrong… so there. 😉

Agreed, because, despite his yellow, he put in a great defensive shift.
