I think we had a thread on this topic or similar a while back. Not sure as I'm an arl cunt with a dithering mind.
Anyway.
My single most despised thing about modern football is that you cannot tackle.
Gerrard and Lucas both booked for excellent tackles that weren't even close to being a foul. I'm sure there have been other instances. Whoever decided you can't tackle for the side is a massive tool. I great recovery tackle used to be one of the game's finest moments. Lawrenson, Macherano, and others graced Anfield with this skill. Now players get booked.
Utterly rubbish.

Yeah when Spurs scored from the free kick done by a great Gerrard tackle I was fuming

Refs are pussy cos of insurance and Mourinho (sub in flavour of the year)

There's a load of problems:

1. Financial disparity between teams ruins any possibility of healthy competition.

2. Players have too much power.

3. The Football authorities are either incompetent or corrupt.

4. Media coverage dumbs down the game.

5. The game refuses to move with the times. Every other sport gives its referees the chance to get calls right. Football doesn't and then has ridiculous rules about when something can be punished afterwards. It makes the game a lottery rather than a competition.

There's probably hundreds more

But yeah it is rubbish

I on the fence with with technology and Referees..

Its clear they need help, but then to what level do you give them the use of technology for help..

I think the starting point has to give the 4th official more powers.. if he see footage that contradicts the referees decsion then he can call it..

But yeh the media has ruined football..

Far too much money in the game...
