Phillies win game 5, Atrocious outing from Burnett.
Next up, Pettitte vs ? in NY.

You'd have to question the decision to bring him back on short rest. Most experts said he wouldn't manage it, but Girardi was set on only using three pitchers.
I hope Pettite struggles just as much. I'm assuming the Phillies bring back Pedro for the next one.

Yup, seems like Pedro will pitch and if it goes to a Game 7 will Hamels get a chance? Or Happ?
One thing to note though is that the DH will come back into play from now. Yankees have a big advantage there.

Can they bring back Lee on short rest or would it be too short ?
Hamels shouldn't be given another chance, and I'd be surprised if he got one given his comments about looking forward to the season being over.
[/quote]
If they make it past game 6, I'm sure the Phillies will start with Lee ... Give him 4-6 innings ... Something tell ms if the series gets to game 7, Hamels will be the 'villain turned hero' ...

I don't know Wizzy. Charlie Manuel seems very reluctant to start Cliff Lee on short rest. I think Lee's more than willing to start but would starting Lee in Game 7 go the way of Burnett? Sabathia didnt do exceptionally well on short rest too.
One thing though, if the Phillies do win the WS, Cliff Lee could be MVP.
