I am with Sunny on this too, it's not often our views differ to be honest.
All things considered he has been a great signing for us, he has been up and down in form, but what Liverpool player has not this season, he has more excuses than most for it. The big criticism when he arrived was that he was not getting stuck in enough, well he seems to get into tackles much better now and works very hard.
For me he may not be an A* like Suarez, but I think he has done enough to earn an A. I think that run of goals he had kick-started our climb back.
I think like many foreign signings we will see even more from him next season.
Well done Ming, earns his place in the team for me

That's a great point about his goals in the games that really kickstarted our season. He's been relatively quiet in recent games (some of that can be attributed to playing out of position), but he's always making himself available for a pass, he uses the ball very well and he works very hard. B+

Yep B+, even for that Chelsea goal alone to sicken Torres.

Always available, classy on the ball, has showed he can score different types of goals. Can play in a plethora of positions. His off the ball work needs to improve a bit but hopefully we'll see that once he has a season under his belt.

We are going to have a fine squad next year if someone of Meireles quality isn't guaranteed a starting place in the team.

I think what you're seeing now, and I could well be wrong, is that intelligent technical players excel in a side that passes and moves and in that sort of side they can play in any number of positions.

I think he's been excellent and will be even better next season. During our dark days, earlier this season, there were people suggesting our squad wasn't good enough but now under Dalglish it's become patently clear that our squad could be very nearly good enough.

With players such as Ming, Johnson, Reina, Suarez, Carroll, Gerrard, Kelly, Kuyt being pivotal to our chances of success next season, if we get in another couple of top additions, and have a squad also featuring Spearing, Carra, Lucas, Flanagan, Skrtel, Wilson etc we will definitely challenge for the title next season.

In the same sentence? From Pesam?
Holy crap.

Gerry my anti-Lucas stance remains, my issue is that I don't think we'll ever challenge for the title with him starting regularly - I have no issue with him being a squaddie, that's why he is not listed amongst the "pivotal" players.

..... and pop up all over the pitch.

Maxi is another example.

Players like Raul and Suarez must be a dream to play with. They're always on the move, they show for the ball constantly and Raul especially plays with his head up and epitomises the pass and move game we want to play these days.

Plus judging by the various photos and goal celebrations he seems to get along well with the others.

He's the one thing we can thank Roy for.

?

so so so so so so much.

Think this has shown us that even though he had quiet games, his off the ball movement opens up so many options

Spot on. He's my player of the season for a reason!

We do, and it's been my hope all along that the purchase of Carroll was an early sign that the King intends to go shopping for wingers a.s.a.p.

Yeah, he was missed. How we'll line up next season will be interesting to see. He's deffo become one of our more important players.

We miss his movement and set piece delivery today, I'm sure Ross is scathing in a corner somewhere about how it's all Carroll's fault (this is the first thread I've looked at today), but anyway, Spurs were well prepared today and they were the better team.
