Milito is on a collision course with Rafael Benitez

I see.

In that case my response to the original question is this:

Inter are in second place having beaten 2 teams who are in the bottom three and drawn nil nil with the team who are 5th from bottom

Taking on that job was a funny one. If you win, it's someone else's team and if you change it, and they under perform you get slated? They won so much.

Rafa definitely needs to learn put the arm around the shoulder of these lads. Otherwise, this is going to keep happening

rafa is using eto'o rather than milito. what's the big deal, eto'o is the better striker.
Actually, Milito and Eto'o have started EVERY game for Inter this season. Only 2 of Inter's starters from last season haven't been in the starting line ups on all occasions so far this season, Pandev and Motta; they've both been injured.

Is it impossible that Milito's in a rut at the moment? And not that his coach is making him "feel unwanted" and he is underperforming as a result of that. Eto'o had nothing but good things to say about his new coach at the start of the season and he's the Italy's hottest striker at the moment.

I wonder why nobody on this site referred to that article.
Because of their bizarrely bitter opinion about Rafa and what a horrible man manager he is, or because any time there is a managerial change, in football, or indeed any job, someone is bound to be unsettled by it?

Are Inter joint top of the league at the moment?
Yes they are. 2 wins and a goalless draw.
Thanks Richey
And? They CLEARLY have the best team in Italy. They SHOULD be top of the league.
All i did was was ask a simple question and you're getting your knickers in a twist. I might as well play along though..........SHOULD we be 16th then?

It just seems that although he's started well in his new job, the same old bitter twats are still only too willing to have a pop.

My knickers are very twist-free, thanks.

Like you, I just knew that the same old (insert opposite of your 'bitter'comment) twats would use the fact that he's managing Italy's best side to 2 wins and a draw against clearly inferior opposition as some sort of barometer as to just how right they were all along.

After the start to our schedule, our league position right now shouldn't surprise anybody. If we're still here in a few months, then I'll be very surprised.

I'm so sick of these threads.

I almost wish Rafa would come back just so all the apologists would just shut the fuckup and enjoy the show whilst Rafa continued to rant and rave in the media about the Board and the owners and not having 100 million to spend whilst watching the pile of shit players he bought limp their way into 9th place in May.

I agree. They either end up in slagging off our ex manager or moaning about past events that have been discussed to death.

Who are these "apologists" though mate? As far as i can tell most of the posters on here who backed Rafa have all accepted that he's long gone + are not joining in with all of the Roy bashing.

i;d quite like the mods to ban all talk of this nature. It is dull and repetitive.

Some are, but most are at least making snide comments about our position and situation now or as to Rafa's potential success at Inter Milan.

"OO Rafa won the Scudetto werent we stupid to sack him'.

Wait and see.

Doesn't surprise me at all this is happening. The next thing is, Milito on the bench on the reason of he's played too many games and he needs to rest. Totally destroy the confidence in him.

Rafa will always be Rafa. We'll see how many trophies he will win with Inter in 5 years.

Is anyone really suprised? He was a REALLY shit man manager when he was here and even started to piss of the likes of gerrard/torres towards the end. Cant say i didnt see this coming. Rafa loves to fuck shit up wherever he goes

Yeah, them trophies he's won *really* fucked things up for us and Valencia.

Yawn.

Now, I'm no Rafa "apologist" but its posters and posts like this that continue to vulture over the carcass of Rafa which infuriate me. He's gone, you think he was shit and a cunt. We get it. Now shut the fuck up about it. For everyone's sake.

Who are the apologists Avvy? I'm struggling, apart from the odd mentalist? From my viewpoint there's far more people on here, revelling in every rehashed, out of date quote attributed to Benitez. How many positive threads on Benitez are there at the mo? There's more shite being stirred by the ones who wanted him gone.

I hope you're not classing me as one of the aforementioned apologists... 😉

I wasnt referring to you, Spion.

Like most, I can recognize both the good things and bad things he's done.

It's just very infuriating to see comments like fat waster on one side and on the other side posters taking some weird satisfaction from the current plight we're in and hinting that Rafa wouldnt have been as bad.

But i guess its ok for rafa to blame everyone else for his failures and keep having cheap shots at people at our club. He is part of the reason our club is fucked at the moment.

Of course he's part of the reason. So are the players, so are the directors, so is the current manager, so are the owners and the previous owners. What's your point?

Rafa's gone, we can't change what happened, we can only work to improve our position and ensure that we don't make the same mistakes that were made under Benitez, whilst also taking the positives that were also made. EG, All these youth players that are coming through at the moment didn't happen by accident but don't let that stop you continuing your tireless and dull tirade against the EX- manager.

Oh and just in case you don't know how to suck eggs, you do realise that the media can and do manipulate interviews and quotes to ensure the slant they want to present is presented. I wouldn't worry too much about what Benitez says now. Its all sticks and stones.

threads are created to stick the boot in rafa and the rafa 'apologists' move to defend him. as far as I've seen no 'apologists' had started a thread to sing the guy's praises now that he has left.

There's not many "defending" him to be fair. Only where the boot being stuck in shows a complete lack of objectivity.
So you are sick and tired of something that hasn't happened yet?

We've been through this before. You are creating strawmen.

What I was 'sick and tired' of were comments about our performance and the hints that Rafa would have got it right.

There was one comment after the Citeh loss along the lines of an attacking formation and wasnt that 'we all wanted' as if Rafa never went and got humped 3-0.

Anyway, if you think I'm imagining things that's fine, Mo.
