Midweek Money-Spinning Internationals

Stevie looks like he is having fun, but, Hodgson can fuck off now and substitute him. An hour in a shit international is enough. Stevie has a colossal 13 games to play from Monday to May

Watch the highlights on the African Nations semi final.#
Daylight robbery.

England playing very well

Some young talent there and nice to see Rooney at well for England again

Because we are not in CL next week Hansern

Rooney playing more than slur Alex would like as well.

Doesnt matter if we're in the CL, we're in the cunting EL

Johnson looking injured. Fuck off Hodgepodge

I wouldn't trust Hodgson to take caution with one of our players ever again. Is there any way for us to just not release players? I'd give em the run up to a tourney, obviously, but for shit like this I'd be telling our lot to forget about padding their caps (ala Cole and Beckham).

We only won because Brazil rested their star Central Midfielder.

All the ones moaning about our players playing 90 mins are foreigners. *suprised*

I for one am very proud that our player is England captain. The more players we have playing for England the better.

Shows we are getting better.

Yeah but it's a meaningless friendly so many would be happy to see Stevie and co depart safe and sound after an hour or so of playing time.

It was a friendly game. No need for Gerrard to play the full 90.

We have 3 games in 6 days starting from Monday.

Or England are getting worse.

Had $20 on a 20-1 multibet, which came through for me 🙂

1. England vs Brazil | 2-3 goals
2. Albania vs. Georgia | 2-3 goals
3. Holland vs. Italy | 2-3 goals
4. Spain to with by 2+ goals

$400 🙂

Argentina beat Sweden to take the title of Unofficial World Champions - denying the Republic of Ireland their chance at glory.

I see Northern Ireland managed to keep their amazing winless streak goun by holding Malta to an exciting 0-0 draw.

Brendan Rodgers would have been concerned about the fortunes of his Liverpoolplayers throughout this international week, but in the end all 15 Reds who reported for duty came through international action unscathed.
Of the collection, it was probably Fabio Borini whose international experience proved to be the most rewarding. The young forward notched the close-range winner which earned Italy’s under-21s a 1-0 victory over Germany.
No doubt Rodgers will hope that the goal helps Borini gain some confidence ahead of the weeks and months to come, but the Reds boss also had to keep track of several other players on international duty over a busy couple of days.
Captain Steven Gerrard and Glen Johnson both played 90 minutes for England against Brazil at Wembley, with both playing their parts as the Three Lions registered a 2-1 win which will boost hopes for the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers.
There were also 90-minute appearances for Luis Suarez in Uruguay’s 3-1 defeat to Spain in Qatar―where both Sebastian Coates and Pepe Reina didn’t get off the bench―and for Daniel Agger in Denmark’s disappointing 3-0 defeat to Macedonia.
Joe Allen played both 90 minutes and a key role in Wales’ 2-1 win over Austria in Swansea―where the midfielder helped set up the opening goal for Gareth Bale―whilst Martin Škrtel played the full game as Slovakia conceded two late goals to lose 2-1 to Belgium in Brugge.
The Reds’ wealth of youthful talent means that they had plenty of players in under-21 action on Tuesday too, with no less than four Liverpool players lining up in the England under-21 side, which beat Sweden 4-0 in Walsall.
Jordan Henderson captained the team as Stuart Pearce’s men recorded a seventh straight victory, with Jonjo Shelvey bouncing back from a poor miss to notch England’s second goal. Henderson and Shelvey played 45 minutes, whilst defenders Andre Wisdom and Jack Robinson completed the full 90 in a win which featured two goals from former Reds youngster and current transfer target, Tom Ince.
Suso was also in action for his country’s youngsters, and the stylish Spaniard set up a goal for Barcelona’s Gerard Deulofeu in his team’s 1-1 friendly draw in Belgium.

International football is utter bollocks, friendlies even more so. Fuck Ing-ur-lund and fuck their ridiculous jester-hat-wearing twattish fans.

*liverpool head on* Ask Gerrard if he wanted to come off. Go on.

I think you're missing the point though mate. I might be foreign but when its international friendlies I always put the club first be it Norwegian, English, Spanish or Alien players.

I'm proud that our English players represent their country and I'm made up Stevie is captain.
But there isnt a need to play 90 mins with the fixture list we have or the injury record they have while on international duty.
Had it been a WC qualifying match nobody would have said anything.
