Mention of Ugarte reminds me of a player whom that twerp David Baddiel used to keep going on about, by the name of Lopez Ufarte.

McLaughlin got a bad injury before he got going, didn't he? Fingers crossed for Bradley.
Just looked up McLaughlin. He's 28 now, played for a bunch of lower league clubs but doesn't have a contract at the moment. Sounds like he just didn't have the levels to make it.
There was an article on him, I think in the Athletic. It was bad injuries meant that he just didn't get going. I think he's packed it in.

Ugarte has €60m buy-out clause. Mac Allister has some kind of clause I guess, which probably has a golden goodbye.

Probably my first choice among the “RCM runner/Hendo replacement” type of midfielders that are available (since Valverse is not). I like Mount and am intrigued by Szoboszlai, but Barella is the most proven among them and can perhaps go up another level under Klopp.

There is a signing on bonus. Mount say £60m. Though I think and hope he will resign with assurances from Pooch

Jude isn't a CDM. We also need a CM. Ugarte, Thuram, Musah and Neves kind of are CDMs. The rest are CMs
It's this breed who [should] cost money.
But we don't need more than 2 CDMs. We still have Fabs and Spanish Steve. Moreton is likely to train with the first team next season. So he might be competing for game time
