Unai Emery is Rafa 2.0, isn’t he? A rigid system manager, astute tactician, good at giving player’s instructions and improving individual players, seems a little cold and distant and easy to mock for rival fans, but respected within the game.

That's probably a fair enough comparison.

Milner was around 30 when he joined us. I'd forgotten about the sex pest thing.
And has been a bit part player for the last three seasons. He’s stayed on as a utility player who is a great influence. I’d imagine Walker be the type to be taking the younger kids to the strippers.

Hopefully it'll be 😎 instead of 😕

2 pts from 9. At least the tougher games are out of the way. Hopefully we can build on the 2nd half performance.

Can we really read too much into this game? We were at home where our record is great. We were playing a team that was playing attacking football leaving plenty of open spaces to exploit. Now let's say its a team that sits back and just waits for that one opening to score. Nothing from that game has confirmed we've turned a corner. I'd like to see how we do away from home.

Only to say it’s the story of our season so far. Do you j is that we’ve been unable to string a run if wins since that three match run starting with our win over Rangers way back when! We’ll lose to the next bottom of the table team we meet. It’s not even because of meets team playing open four all— we’ve been drubbed by, among others, Brighton and Brentford who play similarly good football.

What it does or did highlight, though, is we’ve hung on to players who are past it but we knew that, didn’t we?

Yet, when Henderson and Fabinho started doing basic things such as tackling and shutting down passing lanes— nothing out of the ordinary, mind you, just basic midfield stuff— we pinned Arsenal back. Some prudent additions in the summer should see us starting to compete again, not go straight to the top as there are teams in the league which have done and are doing a better job of planning for success than us.

Is the Prem a "Farmers' League" if Man City win t this year. They would have won it 5 times in 6 years. That's PSG level of dominance

It's a one team wins the lottery league, like France and Austria, and to a similar result via different circumstances, Germany and Scotland.

Have to say as someone who is super superstitious, when I saw this thread popup I thought we are fcked and here we are…
