Just seen this in the Guardian... at the end of the piece in which we are gonna sell everyone, this was the intriguing bit and confirms what is noticeable even out here in Spain. There are SHITLOADS of foriegn liverpool fans...

Arbeloa said: "In the last few years the Premier League has been much better than the Spanish league, but now that may even out thanks to factors that could give the Premier League more problems than in previous years, like the fall of the pound and the raise in taxes. They will make a lot of players move to Spain. Mind you, Adidas told me that the Liverpool shirt is their best seller, more so even than Madrid, so that shows that the Premier League has reached every corner of the world."

I was actually looking to post this in the thread which asked where Real were getting all there money for big transfers... but couldnt find it....

....by my reckoning we should buy Messi first with our enormous merchandising revenues ;D

My daughter is doing a modeling gig for Adidas sports clothes this week ... I'll have to get her to get me some LFC shirts !

I do hope that's not your girlfriend in your avatar.

Someone once described Liverpool as the 21st club in La Liga - the Spanish interest has surely had a massive impact on shirt sales + merchandise.

Fair play to the club.

And to Adidas for making it the nicest home shirt I can remember.
