Well, I'm sure Chelsea and City could have said something similar as no season is going to go perfectly for any team. Everyone drops silly points at some stage. I'm sure their respective fans could have pointed to a game in October or January they should have won and argued the league should have be sewn up already.

the point was that everyone focuses on gerrard for costing us the title and sure it didn't help but an utter capitulation at palace and plenty of other other moments equally defined our season.

Christmas was painful we had Chelsea and city between Christmas day and New years didn't we and we got robbed in both ? Didn't sterling have 2 dead cert penos denied and maybe a goal incorrectly disallowed between the two ?
