Even with all this money.. they continue to be bitter and deluded as ever...

Is it anymore deluded than our fans putting us top at our predictions every season for the last 20 years?

Those in glass houses
How many times in the last 20 years have Everton been in the top 4? Top 2? Champions League trophy? Another European trophy? FA Cups and League cups?
And you ask if it's 'anymore deluded'?
You really do try hard to be controversial, I'll give you that. But it's worth having a point behind those statements.

Those in glass houses

What? We may not be on the level we once were, but we're still miles ahead of Everton in terms of the ability to win the occasional cup, prestige, fan base and the ability to attract some top players. We're also nowhere near as bitter as their lot are with our rivalry. We beat the top teams more than regularly and every now and then we muster up a title challenge. That's no even in the same vicinity of Everton's ambitions or status.

What are you on about, "those in glass houses"? Quit trying to be cynical, it doesn't make you look clever, because you've got no clue how to pull it off with any ounce of credibility.

You wonder why people give you stick over your constant cock sucking of the Mancs and repeated dumbing down of the club you supposedly support. People get critical of aspects of the club because there's usually some foundations to their point, you seem to jump to the defense of every rival and kick the club/team/players for any reason available. Cf your recent "meh" comment about Robertson, who you obviously knew jack shit about, only for you to post after his first friendly appearance that you take back the criticism. Fickle doesn't even cover it.

The point is easy we haven't won and neither have they and either set of fans predicting we will win is silly, unless it's Oncy and his cock is out while doing it.

So many assumptions Mark that makes you pointless to discuss with

So all teams that haven't won something are recently won something are as likely to win it next year. Is that really what you're trying to say?

Still infuriating people after all these years. If there's one poster on this site who hasn't changed throughout his entire forum career, it's DB. I honestly can't see the difference between his posts as a fledgling adolescent and a full-grown adult. A model of consistency.

He tried to be impartial, but goes too far, and ends up being wrong. Then walks off thinking everyone else is deluded.

He changed big time. He's been trying very hard to be controversial over the last couple of years. He used to be totally positive. Ryan's re shaped him.

You're not pissing me off, your point just makes no sense. It's obviously more likely for us to win the league than Everton as we've come closer to doing it. So, our fans thinking we might do it is not as far fetched as Everton fans. But you, for some reason, think it is?

I think the difference between to the two isn't all that great, espically so that we should be poking fun at them. Our famous boom bust cycle should be evidence enough we are well versed in over estimating our own teams chances.

Everton have strengthened well and have a good coach so as a fan of a club who's fans routinely get carried away I can certainly understand them overestimating their chances.

Obviously we have a greater chance but ultimately neither of us will win it

I suppose he grew out of the boyish enthusiasm, but intellectually, there's been no evolution whatsoever.

I agree, either set of fan predicting a league win is silly but we have a far better chance than them (don't forget, you've confidentiality backed us for the Champions League).

Everton haven't a hope of winning the league or top 4 for that matter. We have a genuine chance to repeat our top 4 finish and an outside chance at the league if we get our CB and CM.

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones but the glass houses are surely different in this example.

Not sure everyone is being fair here. Whatever you think of the players Everton are signing, for them, they are having a good/great transfer window. can't say the same for us.
I happen to think they have a decent squad and a good manager. I expect them to improve a fair bit on last season.

Pickford.
Seamus, Williams, Keane, Baines, Jagielka.
Schneiderlin, Barkley (or 50M), McCarthy, Gueye, Barry, Klaassen, Davies, Sigurdsson.
Rooney, Bolasie, Sandro, Mirallas, Lookman.
Looks decent to me that.
