So we should keep him as he may offer something from the bench ? Awesome.

its the only reason I would advocate the return of crouch.

I'd have Crouch in the team before Ngog any day
I wouldn't. the defenders wont hoof to ngog all game long.

To be fair, having someone who can change the game from the bench is no bad thing. We went last year from being the best team at turning round a deficit to one of the very worst, and Babel not being used as an impact player probably contributed to that (as well as the whole team having a shite, defeatist attitude). He's changed a lot of games for us, so we know it isn't a fluke that he can come on and get a goal and make things happen. He's clearly a better sub than starter, so perhaps everyone should accept that. Let's think of him as a 'special teams' player and get on with it.

Babel may look clueless most of the time but he has ability. His problem is consistency and he never got a sustained run under Rafa and looked devoid of confidence.

Roy will probably give him a run and instil some confidence in the lad. If he stays he will turn out to be the most improved player at the club. £8-10M and I'll do business though. Come on Brum, make my day!

Yes he did. 5 on the trot wasn't it ? Not enough ?

I don't think Babel wants to go to Birmingham. Understandably.

And you never know: Hodgson may just have the key to unlocking all that pace and power on a more consistent and useful basis...
Dont you start Bunny!

If he stays he will prove 99% of people on here wrong.
No Pat, he wont.
I'd given up on Babel ages ago, but he's still here and we've got a new manager with a reputation for making mediocre footballers believe in themselves and play to their potential. So, given that Birmingham are seemingly the only club that want him and that he doesn't want to go there, I'm just trying to look on the positive side.

I'd sell him now, if it was possible, and put the money towards the positions we do need to strengthen.

I don't ever remember Babel playing 5 games for the full 90 minutes but that may have something to do with my age!

And him being shit in most of the games he plays.

I'm prepared to take that risk because I'd rather have the money than a useless bag of shit

He's just thick as fuck. I don't think he has the capacity for learning. If you could get that fly machine and instead of putting jeff goldblum and insects in it you shoved Babel and Benayoun in, you'd end up with one soggy window licking spaz without bowel control and the best footballer on earth.
Both funny & true.

We've been saying that for years...
He showe promising signs before Rafa's Man management killed his confidence.

Roy can get him back to at least a super sub.

I'm predicting him for my player of the season.

I'd be more than happy for you to be correct here DB, I would.
But the FACT is that Babel is a fucking shithouse. We would be way better off, in our current situation, taking the moolah on offer and filling weaker positions in the squad.

I can see what many think that, but he's young, not injury prone and nobody can say a Babel of his first season would not add to our squad.

At the moment we would not get alot for him, however under Roy with the arm around the shoulder I think we could at least see his price rise.

I'll be very disappointed if he leaves.

Yeah but he's got loads of potential, and he's fast!

Brainless, useless, lazy twat.
