The scum are in a new world. One we've been in for so long it seems normal. What is the 'obvious' thing to do?

Like me, others will open this thread in the anticipation of some sort of psychotic episode he suffered. It is never too late to go down that path.

I thought it was going to be in reference to his meltdown regarding his players fitness or willingness to play through the pain and the fact they he is complaining they had to play 9 games in April when we had to play 10 in Jan.

He argued that hypothetically if they beat celta vigo, and if they had won the fa cup semi final, then look how unfair the fixtures in may would be. That was his argument.

He went on to say, in this hypothetical situation, it would be a blessing now they might not get 4th, because he could play a reserve team against crystal palace, so that his players were fit for the final. No disrespect to celta vigo was intended, they are a good team...

So his conclusion then. If hypothetically crystal palace needed a win to stay up, it would be very unfair to other teams when he played nicky butts reserves. So something needs to be done.

He needs, and I'm sure he knows it, an entirely new spine to his side.

Bar De Gea, and the injured Ibrahimovic, they have no structure through the middle of their side. The centre halves are weak and lack authority, he's got lightweights in the middle of the park, and has one striker who can command - but he's what, 35?

He'll prioritise strength through the middle. They control matches better, they perform better away from home, and they set the tone for how the weaker players perform. He's got fairy cunts on the wings and he knows it, but they can be brought in by having more experience and edge in the spine of the team driving them on.

He'll spend a complete fortune this summer. No surprises there as it's his default, but he absolutely needs to. His squad has depth, but it's a lopsided mess.

I sincerely hope he decides the way forward is to adopt an even more defensive style of football, increase publicly criticism of his players and re-sign all formerly released youth players for vast sums of money.

He should also probably pick a needless fight with his medical team.

It is a big summer for him. He will reshape the team so they will look more like a Mourinho team. I really hope all he can offer them is EL footie. The good thing is that even if he will get good players he will be one step closer to his normal imploding moment, there will be no Shaw that he can bully so he will have to pick someone Else and it will all be the season defining when he lost it at Man U.

He needs a keeper, one CB (as it seems he rates Bailly), one AM (as I think he's happy with Herrera & Pogba) and a ST ...

One DM (Carrick's gone). Another CM as Fellaini is not a good enough backup. Two strikers (Ibra's injury will finish him at his age), GK (IF De Gea leaves, big if), Rojo & Bailly (damn good player) will be his first choice CBs with Jones and Smalling in reserve, based on United's defence this season you can't argue with that. New starting LB and maybe another Galactico or two just for the hell of it - CM & striker most likely.

6-7 players costing 200m+. That's not a lot for them at all and easily achievable. Title contenders next season for sure.

Manchester United have taken the lead over Manchester City in the chase for Kasper Schmeichel.
Sky sources indicate the Leicester City goalkeeper is United's first choice to replace David de Gea if, as expected, he heads back to Spain to join Real Madrid.

Half the forum here thinks KS is nothing more than average. I disagree and think he'd have been a very good, safe, signing. Not an option now.

Swapping De Gea with Schmeichel is good for everyone else at the top of the league, bar Utd.
I hope it happens.

I'd start by not moaning about 9 games in April.

That many games at this stage of the season suggests that you're still in the cups.

Oh and moaning about it despite having the most expensive squad in the PL.

Ps - we played ten games in January, so ner, ner, ner, ner, ner.

It's good he is moaning about the games. And use every second sentence to remind the interviewer that he was promised to not talk about the players out. Keeps the focus right!!

That pic before reminds you what a Manager Rafa was. Takes a side with Pennant, Riise, Zenden, and Crouch in it's 11 to the CL Final.

Yeah, but January has way more days than April, so that doesnt really count 😉
