Mourinho reveals contract clause

By Soccernet staff

March 18, 2010

Jose Mourinho says he is free to leave Inter Milan at any point during the next three years of his contract.

Mourinho has repeatedly been linked with top jobs outside Italy, and his reputation rose further this week after he helped Inter to a 3-1 aggregate victory over Chelsea in the Champions League.

The former Blues boss has fuelled speculation that he may come back to the Premier League in the summer by saying he "may coach another English team" and it now appears there is a chance he could leave the San Siro sooner rather than later.

"My future consists of doing my best until the end of the season then we'll see," he said in the S**. "My contract is simple. I've got another three years, with a clause that allows me to leave whenever I want."

Mourinho has had a difficult relationship with the media and a number of other coaches in Serie A.

Please make it happen. Please God, make it happen.

We should never have sold Xabi.
i don't just think it was down to the selling of xabi.

i think the selling of arbeloa and hyppia was also a key factor.

the selling of too many experienced players, played its part.

Do you think Tevez will come here ?

MAUREEN IS A BORN FUCKING WINNER.

How anyone in there right mind would not want him at Anfield is beyond comprehension.

We're here to fucking WIN THINGS - not dust off 20 year old trophy cabinets with yellow copies of Shoot! and Match.

Wake the Fuck up non-believers!

I think we should get Owen back. He really wants to be here and he'll guarantee goals.

I'd take David O'Leary over Mourinho.

Defensive-minded, self-loving, arrogant, ***** *** ***** ******** and a real ***** ********** ***.

Not Liverpool-material in a hundred years.

Oh, and there's absolutely no guarantee he'll achieve anything here besides making us even less adventerous and more defensive-minded.

Hopefully he ends up in Manchester and they'll faill together.

He's like the John Terry of football-managers.

Inter were awesome tuesday night.

I could put up with Jose's ego should he wish to bring his 4-3-3 to Anfield. We'd be transformed overnight I should think.

of course he's Liverpool material
I don't believe so no.

His persona as a manager is as far away from the charachteristica I'd like in a Liverpool-manager as probably possible . Don't get me wrong Rafa's got his flaws too but he's not an unbearable, deluded bellend who shows no decency towards other managers/clubs and he isn't constantly singing in his own praises either.

I dislike Mourinho. I dislike the way he's been acting towards us as a club. I dislike he's never-ending shenangigans in the media and I'd be so sad if I ever had to cheer on a team he's managing.

He's not Liverpool-material. He's simply not got the class nor the humility.

He really was perfect for Chelsea FC and probably wouldn't be far of in United too.

Oh, and he's even more defensive-minded and calculating than Rafa will ever be. In the Chelsea-game they played football in about 45 minutes. In the remainings of the 90 minutes the Inter-player did whatever possible to fuck the game up. Constantly talking to and confusing the ref, falling over, creating scenes, using dirty tricks. It had Mourinhos great touch written all over it.

inter were mighty impressive at the bridge but they did what italian teams do, keep possession, keep a solid shape, hit hard and fast on the break. how much credit does jose take for italians doing what italians do.

They weren't awesome.

They spoiled the game and made the best of it. Cudos to them but they weren't awesome in any way mate.

Barca were awesome. Perhaps Arsenal too. Inter was simply doing their utmost to ruin any kind of football beeing played.

Effective playing-time of football on the night, 45 minutes. The rest of the time was obviously spend by well-instructed Inter-players doing their utmost to ruin any flow and rhythm, constantly surrounding the ref at any chance. Bickering and arguing like was Mourinho on the pitch himself.

Is that the way you guys want to see Liverpool progress from here?

Fair enough then.

I'll keep my fingers firmly crossed that'll never happen.

Who the fuck cares if he's a bell-end. All this bollox about the Liverpool way, he's not Liverpool material.

Fuck me, I've been watching Liverpool for 28+ years and we haven't won the League for 20 because of attitudes like that.

IF the bloke brings back the league (and there is no fucking reason to believe he wont) we HAVE to be in for him.

Whenever faced head to head in the Champions League with Rafa he's lost however. The one trophy Roman craved he failed to win.

He won the title alright but had all the money in the world to do so. But whenever it came down to two games against Rafa he lost, albeit the latter had a far inferior team at his disposal.

Nothing indicates that Rafa wouldn't have taken Chelsea to the title as well. He'd probably also had won them the ChL-trophy by now. And still be there.

I guess me ma could take Inter to the Serie A title. There's no real competition down there at the moment is there?

Has he actually ever taken a team to the title who wasn't more or less nailed on to win it in the first place?

Rafa certainly did so with Valencia.

Look, Mourinho is one of the best managers outthere but he's no Messiah. And he's really annoying too. And with us he'd not even be in pole-position from the off and then who knows how he'll cope? Besides making us even more defensive-minded and calculating as a team.

Don't get me wrong Rafa's got his flaws too but he's not an unbearable, deluded bellend who shows no decency towards other managers/clubs

Hmmmm.

Well I wouldn't describe Benitez as a 'bellend' either but he has certainly had his fair share of public spats with other managers, made comments on other clubs and has dragged internal club politics through the media. I wouldn't call that 'decency'

Noone is saying that Mourinho would guarantee the league title. NOONE could guarantee the league title. But its reasonable to assume that he might well do a better job than Benitez, who has proved himself to be pretty fucking useless at mounting a title challenge

I don't really care if you don't like Mourinho but please do stop setting your own rules on potential managers' personalities and style of play and dressing them up as 'that's the Liverpool way'. Its not, its YOUR way. The Liverpool way is to win trophies, that's it.

It's the one trophy Inter want as well.
He's only got a 1 point lead in Serie A and he's got a stronger squad. Come on Milan.
He's overrated.
If they were all wanking over Capello I could understand, he is the Messiah.

KHL... I respect your Danish scouting reports, but on this issue, shut the fuck up!!

Mourinho is a born winner, if he led us to the title for the first time in 20 years would you be complaining about the champange football or lack of? Of course not! Simple fact is, he knows how to win!! He has a plan B, and wouldn't be afraid to drop the likes of Lucas.

I'd have him over Benitez in a heart beat! I even said so before we got Benitez.

Wow, he'd be prepared to drop Lucas and has got a Plan B?

Sign him then...

The sheer simplicity of argues on the Internet are stunning sometimes.

Now, I haven't mentioned 'the Liverpool way' with one single word have I?

I'm talking about my way. Can I have it MY WAY he wouldn't come anywhere near the club I love as I simply dislike him and his methods and his approach.

In my opinion Liverpool is all about winning trophies but there's more to it than that. Call it whatever you like that's my take on it.

As are yours KHL, who'd rather sign a manager who play's good football but lose 4-3 or sign a manager who knows how to win.

HELL sign Kevin fucking Keegan then!

Numpty!

I'm not saying it's perfectly rational but I don't want him as our manager.

Call it whatever you like.

PS I don't want to lose 4-3 I want us to win. Can we do it like Barca then great but that's not the main issue. But IF the times are right to change manager why on earth then appoint Rafa Mark II?
