Because he best utilized in Gerrard's role. I'm not sure Rafa is ready to play Gerrard as a CM yet.

A lot of people on this forum would be furious that it would break up the Gerrard/Torres partnership.

But i like him. He is a poor man's Zidane. He can form a lethal partnership with Torres.

However, we have more pressing concerns.

He's a good player. But he would cost a LOT more than €7m.

They have. They singed him from Milan after spending the season on loan at Bordeaux.
