Poll Match The First Team To This Team...

Long time lurker here. As most would agree that FSG model is a for profit model to the extreme of leveraging "assets" like our star players (i.e. suarez, sterling) as trading commodities

I feel we are left with a very much weakened team, just enough to make the continued grade of slow and steady improvement (which helps them maintain their stock in LFC Inc)

In my mind we look something like this team of the past in terms of on-field contribution. Can you guess who im referring to from our first team?

No way in the world we have a single defender in our current first team with Rob Jones' potential, let alone any full backs. Gomez is the only one with possibly close to the same potential.

But his injuries cut his career short.
Clyne can imo be just as good or better.

Sorry I agree with Best Believe It , Jones was far superior. He defended crosses in the air better than clyne , could play left back pretty well and although he never scored for us his contibution going forward was miles better than Clyne. Rob Jones was a good crosser of the ball and his passing wasn't bad at all.
I've been a bit underwhelmed with Clyne so far and was expecting him to be quite a bit better than he has been. He hasn't been disastrous in any way but mostly average.

I second that too. Clyne has not been as good as he is made out to be. Deffo not first choice by a country mile.

After reviewing westerveld vs jeffers, im worn to agree. Ming would be pussy in that situation. Westerveld wasnt a great keeper at least he gave it as good as he got.
