33 games, 7 goals, most clearances in the league, just 4 yellow cards, and while people talk about Sakho and Agger as the passers, Martin went ahead and connected 91% of his passes.

Fucking beasty.

As for 'always has a mistake in him every game', squawka lists his total defensive errors as three for the season.

Mr Rodgers:
"Martin has been a colossus for us throughout this season,"
"His performances speak for themselves."
"I think he's been the top centre-half in the Premier League, alongside Vincent Kompany. I see a more complete defender now. I have great admiration for him."

Best in the league for me.

2 seasons to go on his current contract. I think we'll probably give him a new one if he keeps this form up next season. This is the way to earn consideration for a new contract.

He's been a real leader at the back for us and has had a fantastic season. His constant grabbing of oppo players shirts in our box is driving me towards a nervous break down though.

This. It's been done all through this season and somehow escapes the referee's attention.

Best defender in the league this season.

After being out of the side he has really stoppes up.
One of the first names on the teamsheet now.

7 goals is brilliant.

Here's a player who could have sobbed, and given up, when he was dropped by Rodgers. He barely opened his mouth, worked his ass off, got the trust of the manager and has become a very key figure in a title push. It's a testament to the player, the manager and the season we're having that stories are these are the 'norm.'

Serious respect for how he turned it around

Spot on.

There was a reason he was our player of the season the other year. The lads a fucking beast
