That lad has a very effeminate handshake. The headline will read: Balotelli the gay basher!

"Evil drug dealer snapped in hand-to-hand with street urchin"
"Maz gave me ends on his 'hair-on" said the boy, shortly before his high sent him into a frenzy at the playground.

If you examine the reflection in his door, then you see the security guard, you some kid holding an ipad, and you see another kid next to him. It is not consistent with the dad's version.

Exactly.

He's obviously a big child with a big heart, but we need bullish men full
Of confidence, arrogance and above all else ability and work rate.

Sooner he is binned off the better

We play Real Madrid this week, who do you suppose we 'bin' him off for?

We all know you said he was going to be shit blah blah, why not stop being a little girl (I told you so) and get behind the player or at least offer something half constructive.

Is this serious?

We spend 16m on an Italian international and lose patience after 2 months?

He's already featured in our best display of the season and secured a comeback in a cup tie that's seen us into a semi final.

I think there's every reason to think he'll improve, especially when he gets to partner Sturridge again.

You've posted in other threads about the danger of overreacting at this early stage of the season, and in most respects I agree with that. However, I don't agree that there's every reason to think Balotelli will improve. He's certainly got far more ability than he's shown during the season so far, but I'm afraid his record suggests it's touch and go whether he'll produce that with the kind of consistency we need.

Time will tell, in any event the Manager has to work with what he has for at least another 2-3 months.

By the way, the consistency argument could be pointed at most members of the team: Mignolet, Johnson, Lovren, Henderson, Gerrard, Coutinho and of course, Brendan Rodgers himself.

What I do know is that working hard as a team (players and staff) is the only realistic option to get back on track. I'm sure there are a bunch of people at Melwood mystified by the inconsistency. I trust them to work it out, we all know the potential.

I think you could take quite a few top strikers and put them in this team as a lone number nine and they won't look very good. So the problem goes beyond Balotelli. But it's undeniable that he's making the worst of a bad situation. If Rodgers must keep playing him, he needs to start with something different in terms of support, not keep starting with the vague hope Balotelli will suddenly start playing like he's never played before in his career, and only then trying something else after about 70 minutes.

Definitely GK. As I've said elsewhere, I blame Rodgers in that Mario is completely the wrong fit, in terms of style and intensity. If we'd bought him as a third striker instead of Lambert, then yeah, it's a good option to have, but forcing him as the main man while the rest of the team is set up to play a completely different way, is counterproductive for him and the rest of the side. If he's going to play, put someone alongside him, otherwise try someone else.

Rodgers isn't stupid, so I am afraid that he must be suffering from the Stubborn Manager Syndrome that we have seen in previous Liverpool managers. Refusing to address a problem that is as clear as the nose on his face.

Then again, would a stubborn manager have signed Balotelli in the first place? The whole thing's a bit baffling. Wenger's a stubborn manager. He'd rather go into a season with only one half-fit striker than take another one who didn't fit his requirements. I feel I understand Rodgers less and less. He seems all over the place.
