I'm sad to say I don't give the slightest fuck. For the first time in decades. I won't watch it also.

It's over for me, I guess.

I've never been less hyped by a United Vs Liverpool game. They're always shit games, the lack of fans always resonates harder in the games, it will probably be a 0-0 that will spell the end of our CL hopes.

I think 4-2-3-1 is the way to go again.

-------------------Alisson-----------------
---Trent------Philip------Kabak------Robertson--
-----------Fabinho--------Thiago-------------------
-----Salah---------Firmino------------Mane------
-----------------------Jota-------------------------

I think that the bug Mane caught was not being awarded fouls against him any more. Not sure what's happening, but he gets taken out multiple times per game and gets nothing from the refs - whereas, our opponents seem to get every slight tap. Did he fuck Mike Riley's wife or something?

This is a major issue.
That foul vs madrid being the pinnacle of the garbage thrown at him this year

Says all about the season that we are desperately hoping for our 4th choice defender Nat Phillips to come back into our team for this game.

Mané has been a superb player for 3 seasons before having a massive dip in form this year post covid. But one thing that was persistent with him even at his best was that his finishing was always more about lashing the ball towards goal than clinical placement. You can see it in the above clip, he scores but he's sliced across the ball and not hit it very cleanly. Weird as it sounds his finishing technique has never been great, it's why he's always missed so many sitters. The difference was that he used to make/receive so many chances that it didn't really matter, he would usually knock one in eventually even when he was not in top form.

Its not that hes a bad finisher, certainly not like Firmino who is genuinely a poor finisher in front of goal, but it is definitely one of his weaknesses.

Not sure I'd entirely agree with that. Some of Mane's finishing for us has been excellent.

Mane generally leans back and almost collapses when he strikes the ball, which gives him a lot of power, but it's a bit of a lottery in terms of placement. That isn't his issue now, though. He's just low on confidence, which is impacting even the easier finishes.

Yeah you often notice his shots will hit the roof of the net when they go in, which is because he's leaning back and putting as much force as he can through the ball.

🤢
[article]Liverpool are yet to win a match at Old Trafford under the reign of Jurgen Klopp, with four draws and two defeats from the six matches played there during his tenure.[/article]

And possibly exhausted? We take his Duracell running for granted, no wonder sometimes that by the time he gets into scoring opportunities that his accuracy is off.

For me this is the butterfly effect from VVD not being around... Mane looks like he's doing dining more defending deeply than he's had to do since we signed VVD. I think once VVD returns we see the old Mane more often.

Very surprised so far to see most TV pundits going for us or a draw. ESPN's 'crew' seems to the outlier in that respect. Can't see it.

In Klopp's pre-match interview he spoke a lot about how we must win this. He isn't going to put out a defensive team with that in mind, but I doubt he'll start the 'Fab 4' either.

I still see one change to the team I posted earlier, with Jota as a deep lying, fast arriving, #9, for Bobby perhaps :

-----------Alisson-----------
TAA--Nat--Kabak--Robbo
----------Fabinho------------
------Thiago---Milner------
Salah---Jota---Mane

I think Nat is very doubtful, unfortunately. I guess that means Fab at the back again, as I doubt he would risk Rhys or Davies at Old Toilet

The scum missing both of their guaranteed penalties that will be gifted to them by the ref and then by var paying 13-1 is not that crazy.
