... but City wouldn't/couldn't meet our £27M valuation.

At least according to BBC.

Mancini also wanted De Rossi, Van Persie, Hazard and Javi Martinez.

Love the fact we are no push-overs in the market despite everything.

Agger tops Barca's list this Summer, again, but we won't sell unless the money gets insane and they won't.

*fingers crossed*

Mine too.
We could get a cracking centre half for £25m.

We should sell IMHO.. liability many times this season...

It is a lot of money, I just don't think it would be that easy to replace him. And we'd need at least three new CBs too.

Not going to happen.

Who are all these mad people who want Agger?😉

If a bid for Agger of over £20M came in we would be crazy not to accept.

I like him, but he's not worth that.

It struck me how much I like this Liverpool team at the moment. It was a lot harder to like the team last year with the likes of fat Adams, Spearing, Carroll (to a degree), old Downing and Aquilani (while here). There seems to be a great team spirit, commerardary within the squad and for some reason Agger seems central to all this. Also he has YNWA on his fingers. I don't care about the money so dont want him gone.

has to be £27m or more for me, I think Mancini and City will be sure not to make the same mistakes as last summer. They will go for the players they need and will bid stupid. As much as iI love Agger, £27m plus would be stupidly crazy to turn down

I'd be very surprised to see Mancini still managing Citeh once this season is over.
With the players he has he should have achieved much more than he did.

We're losing Carragher and almost certainly Coates, Skrtel and Wilson.

Only a fucking mongaloid would want to sell our ONE other centre back the summer after we are the team with the second most clean sheets in the division.

Fuck Citeh.

Sorry man but defenders are pretty straight forward to get hold of imo. I like Agger and if he stays I won't complain - But FFS 20 million! You'd be mad to refuse. How much did he cost? 5 Million maybe???

Yeah but finding a new defensive pair is like starting from scratch. I'd rather we keep what we have and add a top class central defender.

I would agree it's foolhardy to lose ALL of our good cbs and start from scratch.

Proper foolhardy

Yeah youre right of course. Dime a dozen Centre Backs.

Aren't they? 6-9 Million will get you a pretty decent one. Personally I think of defenders as pretty much 'Dime a dozen'. That sounds harsh I know but honestly ask yourself this. If LFC had 20 million to spend would you be happy they spent it all on a defender?

Id rather they kept some of the ones they had.

If we end up with Ashley Williams plus a young CB like Kelly we'll be fucked. Kelly has promise but needs to be blooded alongside an experienced CB.

Williams isn't good enough.

Liverpool target Lisbon's Illori to replace retiring Carragher
By LEE BRYAN

Liverpool are stepping up interest in Sporting Lisbon defender Tiago Ilori.
The pacy 20-year-old, who was born in London, has broken into Sporting's first team this year but was first targeted by Liverpool two years ago.
He can play centre-back and full-back and the Portuguese want around £1.2million now that Liverpool have revived interest.

Bit of a no-brainier at the price, although surely Coates replacement.

We're a 7th placed team and we get offered 25M odd for our less-than-great 28 year old injury-prone centre back.

I can see why we'd turn that deal down fosho.
