Manager of the season talk

I'd say if we were to go unbeaten then there's no way past Klopp, the only thing that could throw a spanner in the works would be a SU top 4 finish, that would be ridiculous. Obviously Spurs/Utd/Arse are well below par this season, and I don't know what the usual points number is for 4th upwards, but if they do it, on that amount of points, then apart from an unbeaten season, Wilder should get it. For them to get top 4 and a regular amount of top 4 points, based on spending fuck all and just getting promoted would be absolutely crazy.
The only argument against Klopp will always be the same, we are lucky enough that we're in a position that we can go out and spend a world transfer record on a keeper or a CB etc (although inside FFP), and it's a fair one.

Wolves spent a zillion pound the year before and when they came up.

Wilder has done it on shoestring budget. they were favourites to go down. If SU get Europe it will be a close run vote though klopp will win it

Good point, but a pound to a penny says they'd still prefer not to, and there's still a large minority of awards to go. I did say originally that Klopp would be unlucky not to get it BTW. Where you and I differ is on the question whether giving it to Wilder would constitute a total brainf@rt if Sheffield keep on the way they're going. I don't agree that it would.
Ok. Let’s take this out to an admittedly very jinxy, hypothetical season finale (but fuck it I’ll go there for the sake of illustrating that point) According to Dreamy, top 8 for Sheffield would win the award for Wilder against a Klopp team that:
a) wins the premier league for the first time in 30 years
b) claims the highest ever points total
c) goes the season invincible
d) wins the champions league for a second season running
e) wins five major trophies
f) could legitimately claim to be the greatest club side in the history of the competition
g) all without petrodollar investment
h) wins Klopp the most “manager of the season” awards ever

No - I’m not retarded and I do know this is an exceptionally unlikely sequence of events. Since the season is nowhere near over, and none of these things have yet been secured (maybe except (h)) we are all talking hypotheticals. So all this “Wilder is manager of the season” nonsense is just eyebrow raisingly hilarious.

If Sheffield United finish in the Top 8, Chris Wilder should win Manager Of The Year?

Hahahahahahahaha! You idiot.

Wolves came seventh last season, did you think Nuno should have won manager of the year?
He ain't English though...

Not being English would help, given that an English manager has only won it twice in the last 26 seasons, you fucking clown
Angry much?
All the more reason to give it to one, I'd say.

How about the football writers award?
Does being English help there or is it still preposterous to think that?

Angry? Why would I be angry? I couldn't give less of a fuck.

If the manager of the year isn't the Liverpool manager, I couldn't care less if he's from Timbuktu.

You're so fucking weird and insecure about English people. It's not as if the English have even bothered to invade, conquer or enslave Sweden, or wherever the fuck it is you live. It's almost like you're Irish or Scottish or something, with a justified and understandable inferiority complex and/or dislike.

In actual fact, while we're talking about English managers, there is genuine reason to be outraged with at least one of the (admittedly rare) winners of that accolade, because ALAN PARDEW won it when he was Newcastle manager.

I still can't get over that.

No it's not about being insecure or weird over English people. I've followed English football for almost 30 years, national team as well.
Maybe I'm imagining it, but for instance Scott Parker getting the football writers award, was it deserved?

Do any Swedish bands ever get onto Sweden's Top Of The Pops? Sell enough to be Number one? That aren't called Abba?

Like some fucking yodelling hurdy-gurdy gurd bollocks that nobody else likes?
It's a fucking mystery, national bias.

You'd be happier supporting Malmo. And less confused.

Woy `the face slapping owl` Hodgson won it for losing a Europa league final, though confessing his love for old pisshead Ferguson obviously helped

A-HA is Norwegian. By the way they are on their 17th or so farewell tour.

Take on me, The Lying Rag always shines on TV, so many, many hits. Erm, well, 2. Actually, I have a fuzzy memory of them doing a bond song, is that fake memory? They've done well from that and no mistake.

Living daylights.

They are talenter for sure. But they are a bit weird and they obviously dont stand each other. I am not a big fan though even if I the songs are catchy. Saw them once (dont remember which farewell tour) and they didn't quite perform well that night. But they keep on filling their pockets with those old songs. But for me they are the Man U of Norwegian music. Richest and adored by masses but one of the least interesting "brands"around .

Who are the Liverpool of Norwegian music?

I have a rather huge love for the genius of Geir Jenssen, but admittedly that's about as far as my expertise goes.
